Texas Baseball Hosts Annual Alumni Game With One Big Twist This Saturday

Longhorns fans will get an early look at the nations No. 3 team and celebrate Texas baseball tradition during a full day of festivities at UFCU Disch-Falk Field.

The Texas Longhorns are giving fans an early look at their 2026 squad - and they’re doing it in style.

This Saturday, Jan. 31, at 2 p.m. CT, the reigning SEC Champions will host their annual Alumni Game and Fan Appreciation Day at UFCU Disch-Falk Field.

It’s a chance to see the No. 3 team in D1Baseball’s preseason poll take the field before the season officially begins on Feb. 13 against UC Davis. Admission?

Completely free.

This event is more than just a scrimmage. It’s a celebration of Texas Baseball - past, present, and future - and a chance for fans to get up close with the team before the grind of the season begins. Head coach Jim Schlossnagle’s squad enters the year with sky-high expectations, and Saturday is the first real glimpse at how this group is shaping up.

Here’s what to expect if you’re heading to the ballpark:

The home plate gate opens at 10:15 a.m., and the festivities get rolling quickly. From 10:30 to 11:30 a.m., fans can meet the 2026 Longhorns during an autograph session.

Team posters and UFCU pennants will be handed out - and those are the only items players will be signing. If you're hoping to snag a signature or two, it’s smart to arrive early.

The line could be capped before 11:30 a.m. so the team can get ready for the game.

And it’s not just about autographs. Fans can play catch in left field until 11:15 a.m., take photos with Bevo XV, and snap a picture with the 2025 SEC Championship Trophy - a reminder of just how far this program has come under Schlossnagle’s leadership.

Once the field clears for batting practice at 11:30 a.m., the action shifts to the stands. The Texas softball team will hold its own autograph session from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m., while the Longhorns baseball squad takes BP starting at 12:10 p.m. Then, from 1:00 to 1:40 p.m., it’s time for the pros - former Longhorns now playing professionally will take their swings in a special alumni batting practice.

At 1:22 p.m., alumni will be introduced, leading into the 2:00 p.m. first pitch.

If you can’t make it to Disch-Falk Field in person, the Alumni Game will be streamed live on the Longhorn Network app, giving fans everywhere a chance to see the burnt orange in action.

Concessions will be open throughout the event, with stands in the main concourse and near the third base gate. And for those looking to gear up for the season, the Texas Longhorns Official Team Shop - located behind home plate - will be open as well.

Parking? Covered. Complimentary parking will be available in the East Campus Garage, courtesy of Texas Athletics.
