Texas A&M Stuns Fans as SaRod Baker Plans Official Visit

Texas A&M sets sights on bolstering their backfield with an official visit from in-state talent SaRod Baker, signaling strategic recruitment moves.

Texas A&M is making waves in the recruiting scene, having secured the top running back in Texas last cycle. KJ Edwards, who had his pick of programs like LSU and Texas, ultimately chose the Aggies.

Edwards wrapped up his high school career ranked as the No. 3 running back in the nation and a Top 50 player overall, according to 247Sports. In a late strategic move, the Aggies also added Carsyn Baker, previously committed to the Florida Gators, to their roster.

With two promising running backs already in the fold, position coach Trooper Taylor and his team are casting a wide net this year. Their primary target is Landen Williams-Callis from Randle High School. However, they're not putting all their eggs in one basket, having extended multiple offers in January to bolster their lineup.

Among these offers is one to another talented in-state prospect, SaRod Baker, who has now lined up his official visit with the Aggies. The recruitment efforts are clearly in full swing, and Texas A&M is leaving no stone unturned in their quest to build a formidable backfield.
