Texas A&M Lineman Stuns Texas Tech Edge With One Powerful Move

Texas A&M's Dametrious Crownover made a statement at Senior Bowl practice, flashing NFL potential in a key one-on-one showdown.

Four Texas A&M veterans are gearing up for one more showcase before the NFL Draft, suiting up for the Senior Bowl this Saturday. Among them are two key pillars from the Aggies' offensive line - Trey Zuhn and Dametrious Crownover - who anchored the left and right tackle spots over the past two seasons. In 2025, they were as steady as it gets in pass protection, providing a reliable pocket for the Aggies' offense and putting themselves firmly on the radar for NFL scouts.

Zuhn, in particular, is turning heads this week with his versatility. He’s been taking reps at center during Senior Bowl practices - a move that could pay serious dividends for his draft stock.

That kind of flexibility is gold at the next level, especially for a rookie looking to carve out a role early. Whether he lines up at tackle or slides inside, Zuhn projects as a plug-and-play depth piece with the potential to grow into a starting role.

Crownover, meanwhile, brings an NFL-ready frame to the table - 6'7", 330-plus pounds - the kind of size you simply can’t coach. He’s got the physical tools to be a long-term answer at right tackle, but the next step in his development will be refining his hand placement and footwork. That’s what scouts will be watching closely this week.

And so far, Crownover is making the most of his opportunity. During Tuesday’s practice, he squared off against Texas Tech edge rusher Romello Height - a first-team All-Big 12 standout who racked up 9.5 sacks last season - and more than held his own.

Crownover showcased improved footwork and hand usage, keeping Height at bay and finishing blocks with authority. It was a strong showing that could help him climb draft boards in the coming weeks.

Right now, most mock drafts have Crownover projected as a late-round pick - somewhere in the sixth or seventh round - though some see him as a priority undrafted free agent. But with his size, SEC pedigree, and now a solid week of practice against top-tier competition, he’s giving teams plenty to think about.

Zuhn and right guard Ar’maj Reed-Adams, meanwhile, are getting mid-round buzz - fourth or fifth round territory - and both have a chance to solidify that range with a strong Senior Bowl performance.

They’ll be joined on the National Team by tight end Nate Boerkircher and linebacker Scooby Williams. Kickoff is set for Saturday, January 31 at 1:30 p.m. CT, with the game airing on NFL Network.

For these four Aggies, Saturday isn’t just another game - it’s a chance to make a final impression before the draft process kicks into high gear. And if this week’s practices are any indication, they’re ready to make it count.
