Texas A&M Weekend With BenDaDonnn Took A Wild Turn Fast

An unexpected turn of events at Texas A&M leads to the arrest of BenDaDonnn following a high-profile game and a caught-on-camera altercation.

BenDaDonnn’s weekend in College Station went from spotlight to chaos in a hurry.

The viral streamer first popped up in a much friendlier setting, drawing attention on the sideline during Texas A&M’s game against Arkansas. The university’s official football social media account even promoted his presence to his millions of online followers. But by the time the game ended, the tone had flipped completely.

After the Aggies’ win, BenDaDonnn became the center of a tense scene when he tried to film inside the Texas A&M locker room. Multiple players had attempted to bring the popular online comedian into the restricted area, but the coaching staff shut it down once cameras were involved. A staff member confronted him directly and told his group to leave.

BenDaDonnn pushed back, telling the staff member, “Your team is the one who invited me.” Head coach Mike Elko then stepped in himself and removed the streamer from the area. The coaches held the line at the door and denied the group any further access.

BenDaDonnn didn’t hide his frustration. He responded, “I really don’t give a f-k”.

He also told his camera crew, “Y’all players brought me in there.” And he brushed off the staff’s stance by telling his online followers, “You know them old southern folk don’t be wanting you in there.”

The situation got even uglier early Sunday morning in College Station’s Northgate bar district, where police say BenDaDonnn was part of a large group that refused to follow officers’ orders as they worked to clear a crowd from a blocked roadway. According to police records, one man in the group slapped an officer’s hand away. When the officer tried to detain him, BenDaDonnn’s bodyguard, Kenny Carter, stepped in and allegedly grabbed the officer and pushed him to the ground.

Backup officers then used a Taser as BenDaDonnn reportedly tried to run. He was later booked on an evading arrest charge, while Carter was booked for interfering with duties.

A department spokesperson said, “Northgate is a great place to go and have a good time.” The statement also stressed that patrons have to comply with public safety directives.

Texas A&M Win Raised A Bigger Question About This Offense

Texas A&Ms win over Arkansas added another comfortable chapter to a series that has gone the Aggies way often since they joined the Southeastern Conference in 2012, but the bigger takeaway was less about the scoreboard than the shape of the offense. True freshmen Carsyn Baker and KJ Edwards both offered glimpses of what the backfield can become, giving the Aggies another layer to consider as they keep sorting out how this unit wants to function.

Marcel Reed also helped steady things with his game management, and David Olanos recent progress continued to show up in a meaningful way. His two long field goals gave Texas A&M a reliable boost, but the mix of youth in the backfield, Reeds command and Olanos leg only sharpened the larger question hanging over the offense moving forward. Texas A&M Run Game Faces Its Biggest SEC Test Yet

Texas A&M heads into Saturday's SEC matchup with Missouri trying to build on a 3-2 start and a win over Arkansas, but the assignment looks steeper than most so far. Missouri comes in ranked 14th in the AP Top 25 after a convincing victory over Florida, and the Tigers have the kind of defensive profile that can make life difficult for an offense that wants to lean on the ground game.

That sets up the central question for the Aggies: whether their run game can hold up against one of the league's stronger run defenses. The history between these programs and the contrast in recent form add some intrigue, too, especially with Missouri carrying the pressure of follow-up games after big wins and Texas A&M looking to keep its momentum alive in a tougher SEC measuring stick. Texas A&M May Have Finally Found Its Offensive Identity

After two straight losses, Texas A&M looked far more like a team with a plan on offense in its 34-7 win over Arkansas at Kyle Field. The Aggies leaned hard on the ground game, piling up 231 rushing yards on 49 carries, with KJ Edwards, Marcel Reed and Rueben Owens II all helping set the tone as the offense controlled the pace from start to finish.

Mike Elko pointed to the offensive line and the run game as the biggest reasons the unit finally found some rhythm, and that kind of balance is exactly what Texas A&M needed. The challenge now is whether this was a one-game fix or the start of an identity the Aggies can carry into the rest of the season. [Read more 🡒]
