The NFL’s 53-man rosters are set, and Texas A&M is showing up in a big way once again.
With preseason wrapped and the season opener now only a week and a half away, the Aggies have plenty of familiar names scattered across the league. That list includes stars, veterans, and a few younger players who earned their spots as teams finalized their active rosters.
One of the biggest headlines around the league came from Aaron Donald, who announced he was coming out of retirement to rejoin the Los Angeles Rams. That move pairs him with Texas A&M alum and reigning DPOY Myles Garrett in a tandem that should have any NFL quarterback not named Matthew Stafford shaking in their cleats.
Garrett made history last year with 23 sacks in his final season with the Cleveland Browns, breaking the previous mark of 22.5 that had stood for nearly 25 years and been held by Michael Strahan and T.J. Watt before being traded to the Rams in June.
There was also a notable change for Mike Evans, who is suiting up for a team other than the Tampa Bay Buccaneers for the first time in his career. He signed with the San Francisco 49ers in March and joins fellow Aggie receiver Christian Kirk there.
No unexpected cuts hit the Aggie group during roster trimming, and several of the program’s biggest names are in position to make noise this season. De'Von Achane is among the players ready to show why he’s one of the best at his spot. Nic Scourton also made the team, though he’ll spend the 2026 season on injured reserve after tearing his ACL on the first day of training camp.
