Texas A&M got one encouraging update on its injury report heading into Saturday’s matchup with South Carolina.
Linebacker Noah Mikhail, who had been listed as questionable, has been bumped up to probable. The SEC says that designation means he is now “likely to play, barring any setbacks.”
Mikhail has been a steady presence for the Aggies, ranking second on the team with 36 tackles. He has also logged 1.0 tackle for loss, one pass breakup and two quarterback hurries.
Texas A&M will still be missing a few pieces. Wide receivers Terry Bussey and Kelshaun Johnson are out, along with offensive lineman Blake Ivy. Running back KJ Edwards and wide receiver Ashton Bethel-Roman remain questionable.
Edwards has emerged as Texas A&M’s top back as a freshman, leading the team with 360 rushing yards. He is averaging 6.5 yards per carry, best on the roster, and has scored two rushing touchdowns. The SEC defines a questionable player as “uncertain to play due to injury or condition.”
Bethel-Roman has appeared in five games this season and has seven catches for 56 yards. He has not played since Texas A&M’s 27-6 loss to Missouri on Oct. 10.
South Carolina’s report includes several absences of its own. The Gamecocks will be without defensive lineman Jordan Thomas, defensive back J’Zavien Currence, wide receiver Jayden Sellers, running back Matt Fuller, edge Kobby Sakyi-Prah, and offensive linemen Josiah Thompson, Dayne Arnett and Seth Smith. Wide receiver Donovan Murph is probable.
Texas A&M and South Carolina are set for a 2 p.m. CT kickoff Saturday, with the game airing on ESPN.

Mike Elko Just Framed Texas A&Ms Final Four Games Differently
Mike Elko used his weekly media appearance to put Texas A&Ms season in plain terms, acknowledging the Aggies have not lived up to the expectations that surrounded them before kickoff. At 4-4 overall and 1-4 in SEC play, the margin for comfort is gone, and the issues have been hard to miss, from Marcel Reeds regression at quarterback to the broader struggles on both sides of the ball.
Even so, Elko made clear there is still something left to chase in the final stretch. With four games remaining, the Aggies are not just trying to salvage a record, but to show some progress after a season that has not matched the preseason buzz. How they respond now will say plenty about where this program stands heading into the finish. [Read more 🡒]
Nebraska Volleyball Just Took A Recruiting Hit Fans Wont Ignore
Kendall Omoruyis recruiting move gives Texas A&M another notable addition to a program that just reached the sports summit. The top volleyball prospect had been committed to Nebraska, but she announced she is now headed to College Station, pointing to personal growth and her faith as part of the decision while also thanking Nebraskas coaching staff for their role in her journey.
For the Aggies, the timing only adds to the appeal. Coming off the programs first national championship, Texas A&M is already building around a strong middle blocker group, and Omoruyi fits right into that picture as another high-end piece for the future. Nebraska, meanwhile, is left to regroup after losing a commitment it had spent time developing, a reminder of how quickly the recruiting board can shift in a sport where elite talent changes the outlook fast. South Carolina Could Hit Texas A&M With A Bigger Loss Saturday
Recruiting season rarely slows down just because a game week arrives, and Texas A&M is seeing that play out with one of its top defensive pledges. Frederick Ards III, a four-star edge rusher in the 2027 class, remains committed to the Aggies, but he has also recently visited South Carolina while drawing interest from a long list of major programs.
With Texas A&M and South Carolina set to meet this weekend, the Gamecocks are trying to make the matchup count in more ways than one. Ards is being recruited to take another look at his commitment, which adds a little extra intrigue to a game that already carries plenty of weight on the field. [Read more 🡒]
