Texas A&M is turning its weekend around Kentucky into another major recruiting stage.
The No. 8 Aggies are off to a 2-0 start after a 50-0 win over Missouri State and a 48-20 victory against Arizona State, a game that would have ended in a shutout if not for Sun Devils wide receiver Reed Harris putting up 189 yards and two touchdowns. Now Mike Elko’s staff gets another shot to work the visitor list, and it’s a strong one.
One of the biggest names set to be on campus is 2028 four-star defensive lineman Prince Che, who is ranked by Rivals as the No. 4 defensive lineman in the class. Che recently trimmed his list to seven schools: Texas A&M, LSU, Oklahoma, Texas, Georgia and Miami. He is expected to visit College Station this weekend.
Texas A&M also picked up encouraging news from 2027 five-star linebacker Kaden Henderson, who said he remains “100% committed” to the Aggies even with Notre Dame still pushing. Henderson also said he has no plans to visit Notre Dame this season and will be back in College Station for Saturday’s game.
He’ll be joined by a loaded group of fellow 2027 commits, including four-star quarterback Jayce Johnson, five-star offensive tackle Kennedy Brown, four-star offensive tackle DeMarrion Johnson, five-star wide receiver Eric McFarland, four-star Jaden Upshaw, four-star defensive lineman Elijah Patmon, four-star linebacker Mikahi Allen, Aston Whiteside and rising four-star edge rusher Kaden McCarty.
That group matters because each of those 2027 commits has either shut things down or is close to doing so, giving the staff another chance to lock everything in before Early Signing Day in December.
The Aggies will also host big-name talent in the 2028 class. Five-star quarterback Donald Tabron III is headed to campus, and AggieYell insider Jaxson Callaway reported that Texas A&M will also welcome several other five-stars, led by blue-chip safety James Foster and five-star wide receiver Jaylen Addai. Tabron’s starting left tackle, five-star Antijuan Wilkes, is expected as well.
