Texas A&M wide receiver Mario Craver found himself under fire online after his activity on Instagram drew attention in the aftermath of the Aggies’ 35-6 loss to LSU in Baton Rouge.
Craver, who went through multiple injury scares during the game, finished with just three catches for 31 yards. But it was what happened off the field that set social media off.
Less than 12 hours after Texas A&M’s defeat, Florida fan Peyton Blomquist - who had gone viral during the Gators’ upset win over Ole Miss after ABC cameras repeatedly cut to her in the stands - posted a game-day photo dump on Instagram. Eagle-eyed Aggies fans noticed Craver had liked the post, and the reaction came quickly.
Blomquist’s sudden rise had already taken off during Florida’s win, when the extended crowd shots kept her on screens and pushed her follower count up almost immediately. She has since embraced the attention, and over the weekend she was able to watch her team blow out Ole Miss.
For Texas A&M, the bigger picture is a rough 2-2 start to the 2026 season. The Aggies opened with a 50-0 shutout over Missouri State at Kyle Field, then backed it up with a 48-20 win over Arizona State to move to 2-0. Since then, though, they’ve dropped two straight, leaving the program in a turbulent spot after entering the year with expectations built on an 11-2 season and a College Football Playoff appearance.
