Former Texas A&M wide receiver KC Concepcion finally got the kind of NFL afternoon he had been building toward, and it came in a Browns rally Sunday.
Concepcion turned in a career-best line with eight catches for 129 yards, then added 23 rushing yards on three carries as Cleveland erased an early 14-point hole and beat the Tennessee Titans 27-24. His 152 total yards from scrimmage were the most he has posted through seven games of his rookie season, and it was his first 100-yard receiving game in the NFL.
Afterward, Concepcion said he saw this kind of outing coming.
"I enter every week expecting to have a game like this. This week it was my breakout game, so I just can't wait to keep stacking weeks."
The former Aggie had entered the game with 22 receptions for 186 yards across his first six contests, and he nearly equaled that yardage total against Tennessee alone. He became a steady outlet for quarterback Deshaun Watson as the Browns dug out of a 14-0 first-quarter deficit and flipped the game before halftime.
Concepcion caught all eight of his passes in the first half, a stretch that helped Cleveland grab a 17-14 lead at the break. Watson finished with 308 passing yards, and Quinshon Judkins added 96 rushing yards with two touchdowns. Andre Szmyt sealed the win with a 32-yard field goal as time expired.
The victory moved the Browns to 5-2, and Concepcion’s breakout gave Cleveland another weapon as the rookie keeps settling into the NFL.

Texas A&M Fans Finally Got Clarity On KJ Edwards Injury
Texas A&M got a clearer picture on freshman running back KJ Edwards after he was limited in the second half at Bryant-Denny Stadium. Head coach Mike Elko confirmed after the game that Edwards was dealing with a deep contusion, and said the freshman tried to keep pushing through it even as the injury began to affect his role.
Edwards had been part of the early ground game before the setback, carrying the ball eight times for 43 yards. For the Aggies, the immediate concern is less about what he did before the injury and more about how quickly he can bounce back, since his availability could shape how the backfield is used going forward. Lane Kiffin Made A Serious Auburn Accusation After LSU Win
After LSUs win at Auburn, Lane Kiffin brought attention to a physical detail from the game that stood out to him on film and from the sideline. He said he believed Auburn defenders were going after LSU tight end TreyDez Green with hip-drop tackles, the kind of technique the NFL has banned because of its injury risk. Green had only recently returned from a lower-body injury, and he still managed to finish with five catches for 50 yards and a touchdown.
The issue mattered because Greens workload tailed off late in the game, with the contact around him clearly a concern for LSU. For teams across the SEC, including Texas A&M, it is the sort of accusation that can quickly turn into a bigger conversation about how games are being officiated and how much extra attention a dangerous tackle can draw when a featured player is already working back into form. Texas A&Ms Loss Exposed A Passing Problem Fans Cant Ignore
Texas A&M left the matchup with Alabama with plenty to sort through, but the most glaring issue was hard to miss in the passing game. Marcel Reed and the Aggies moved the ball in chunks at times, completing 14 of 21 passes, yet the offense never found enough explosiveness to keep pace as the game tilted toward longer drives and shorter completions.
Rico Scotts night for Alabama only sharpened that contrast. The wideout piled up 156 receiving yards on six catches, almost matching Texas A&Ms entire passing total of 163 yards, and the difference in big-play ability showed up in the final margin of a 31-20 defeat. For a team trying to climb in a tough league race, the concern is not just the loss itself but how limited the passing attack looked when the pressure rose. [Read more 🡒]
