Wimbledons Womens Final Just Set Up A Rare Historic Moment

Celebrities flocked to Wimbledon for an all-Czech women's final, setting the stage for a historic showdown and further cementing the Czech Republic's growing influence in tennis.

Wimbledon’s all-Czech women’s final brought a first-time champion to Centre Court, and it also drew a crowd packed with familiar faces.

Karolína Muchová and Linda Nosková met on Saturday with the women’s singles title on the line, a matchup that guarantees a third Czech winner in the event over the last four years. It was also the first women’s singles final at Wimbledon between two players from the same country since Serena and Venus Williams in 2009.

Among those watching from Centre Court was the Princess of Wales, Kate Middleton, a longtime tennis fan who appeared in the Royal Box in an all-red outfit.

A number of former Wimbledon champions were also in attendance, including Martina Navratilova, Billie Jean King, Maria Sharapova, Petra Kvitova, Marion Bartoli and Simona Halep. King, a six-time women’s singles champion at Wimbledon, was among the names noted in the stands.

The celebrity turnout extended beyond the tennis world. Actress Lily Collins was spotted at the final in a cream sweater and mid-length white skirt.

Oscar-winning actress Jodie Foster attended with her wife, Alexandra Hedison. Foster wore a blue striped shirt, while Hedison chose a white pantsuit.

Hannah Waddingham was also in the crowd, and the Ted Lasso star was described as looking the part of “the epitome of beauty and grace, as always.” Season 4 of the comedy series, in which she plays the owner of AFC Richmond, is set to premier in August this year.

Stanley Tucci was another recognizable face at Centre Court, identified by his large-rimmed glasses and snazzy suit. He was seated near Bridgerton breakout star Yerin Ha.
