After a day off, the Tennessee Volunteers hit the ground running on Monday morning, diving into their second week of spring practice. Sporting full pads for the first time this season, the Vols took advantage of the comfortable, mostly cloudy weather at Haslam Field.
The team dedicated about two hours to their fifth spring practice session, with media having a front-row seat for three periods of the action.
Andrew Jackson, stepping in as the first-year LEOs coach, was set to address the media post-practice, along with defensive linemen Mariyon Dye, Xavier Gilliam, Jordan Norman, and Tyree Weathersby. These players, ranging from sophomores to redshirt juniors, are key components of the Vols' defensive strategy this season.
Looking ahead, the Vols are gearing up for another practice on Tuesday, paving the way for their first full scrimmage of the preseason. This much-anticipated event is scheduled for Thursday morning at Neyland Stadium, though it will be a closed affair for the media.
