Tennessee basketball is set to host another notable frontcourt target this weekend, with four-star center Peter Julius reportedly lining up an official visit to Rocky Top.
Dushawn London reported that Julius will be in Knoxville to see the Vols, adding another big-name recruit to Tennessee’s visitor list. Julius is ranked No. 45 overall in the 2028 class on 247 Composite, and he checks in as the No. 8 center and the No. 3 player in Georgia. He plays at Eagle’s Landing in McDonough, Georgia.
Julius has already built a strong résumé on the grassroots circuit. In the EYBL, he earned the 16U Defensive Player of the Year award, a recognition that underscores the kind of impact he brings on that end of the floor.
The 6-foot-9 center is listed at 230 pounds by 247 and is currently in his junior season, with room to keep growing before he finishes high school.
Tennessee has been in the mix for Julius for a while. The Vols offered him back in February of 2026, and his list of suitors now includes Alabama, Baylor, Cincinnati, Florida State, Georgia, Georgia Tech, LSU, Maryland, Texas A&M, Virginia Tech and Wake Forest.
This weekend’s visit comes during a busy stretch for Tennessee’s recruiting efforts. The Vols originally had two visitors lined up this week, including four-star 2027 center Chris Brown, who is scheduled to start his official visit today. Tennessee also had an official visit planned with Justin Wise before he committed to Georgia.
The Vols do not yet have a commitment in the 2028 class, but they’ve already brought in one of the cycle’s biggest names. Five-star prospect Bentley Lusakueno, the No. 6 player in the class, visited Rocky Top two weekends ago.
