Tennessee’s pregame scene at Neyland Stadium took a sharp turn on Sept. 5, 2026, when inclement weather forced the Vol Walk to be cancelled before the game against Furman.
Even with the change in plans, the day still delivered plenty of familiar sights around the stadium. Tennessee coach Josh Heupel greeted fans during a modified Vol Walk, and the Smokey mascot was out waving to the crowd. Players made their way toward Neyland Stadium, with quarterback George MacIntyre and quarterback Faizon Brandon both seen before kickoff.
The weather clearly shaped the atmosphere. Fans were disappointed when the Vol Walk was called off, and many tried to stay cool as rain started to fall.

The Tennessee dance team also ran down Phillip Fulmer Way after the Vol Walk had been cancelled, adding one more burst of movement to a weather-disrupted but still lively pregame arrival.

The five-star running back kept rolling for Baylor School in a 51-33 win over Rabun Gap-Nacoochee, finding the end zone three times and showing the kind of burst that has made him one of the premier names in the 2027 class.
Georges scored once in the first quarter, again just before halftime and then finished the night with a 77-yard touchdown run.
