Tennessee’s five-star running back commit David Gabriel Georges didn’t need long to remind everyone why his name has been buzzing all summer.
In Baylor School’s scrimmage against Buford High on Friday night, Gabriel Georges took his first carry of the game, attacked the left edge and turned it into a long touchdown run against the defending Georgia State Champions. The play immediately lit up social media, with Tennessee fans latching onto the highlight as soon as it started making the rounds.
The run came in just one snap, but it showed the kind of traits that have made Gabriel Georges such a coveted recruit: speed, acceleration and the burst to find daylight and explode through it. He’s the five-star prospect who chose Tennessee over Ohio State and Ole Miss, giving the Vols the top-ranked player from the Volunteer State.
