The Tennessee Volunteers head into Saturday’s SEC matchup at South Carolina looking as healthy as they’ve been in a while.
According to Thursday night’s availability report, there were no new changes for Tennessee from Wednesday. That matters because, for once, the Vols aren’t navigating any fresh surprises.
All six Tennessee players listed as out are season-ending absences that have been on the report for some time, and quarterback Faizon Brandon is no longer on the list. Names that have shown up before, such as Javin Gordon and Nathan Robinson, are absent as well.
That leaves Tennessee in what appears to be a very good spot on the injury front as it prepares for its trip to Columbia, SC. The No.
11 Vols are 6-1 and coming off last weekend’s rivalry win over Alabama, with kickoff against the Gamecocks set for 3:30 p.m. ET Saturday at Williams-Brice Stadium.
South Carolina enters at 3-3 after a bye week. The Gamecocks opened SEC play with losses to Mississippi State, Alabama, and Kentucky before landing a major upset in Gainesville two weeks ago. As of Wednesday night, South Carolina was a 2.5-point favorite against Tennessee.
On the Gamecocks’ side, the only notable Thursday-night change was the addition of running back Jawarn Howell to the report.
South Carolina’s Thursday availability report lists WR Jayden Sellers, EDGE Kobby Sakyi-Prah, OL Josiah Thompson, and OL Seth Smith as out. OL Carter Miller and RB Jawarn Howell are questionable, while DB Quay’sheed Scott is doubtful.
Tennessee and South Carolina will meet Saturday afternoon in Columbia in an SEC showdown with both teams’ availability reports now taking their final shape.

The former Tennessee standout has signed a two-way contract with the New York Knicks, giving him a chance to split time between the NBA roster and the G League as he tries to carve out his next role.
For Volunteers fans, it is another step in a pro career that has already taken a sharp turn after two seasons with Los Angeles.
