Tennessee is making significant strides in building its 2028 football signing class, and all eyes are on four-star offensive tackle Kweli Fielder. This promising prospect from Carrollton High School in Georgia is set to visit Tennessee on March 21, marking his first trip to the university. Standing at 6-foot-4 and weighing 310 pounds, Fielder is ranked as the No. 3 offensive tackle in his class and the No. 2 player in Georgia, according to 247Sports.
Fielder's recruitment journey is heating up, with visits also planned to powerhouse programs like Florida, Auburn, Virginia Tech, Ohio State, Georgia, and South Carolina. Tennessee extended a scholarship offer to Fielder on January 23, 2025, joining a competitive field of schools eager to secure his commitment.
Mississippi State was the trailblazer, offering Fielder his first scholarship back in May 2024. Since then, a host of other schools, including Syracuse, Florida State, Duke, Ole Miss, and Colorado, have joined the pursuit. Not to mention, heavyweights like Alabama, LSU, and Texas A&M are also in the mix.
As Tennessee looks to bolster its future roster, they currently have no commitments for the 2028 class. However, their 2027 class is already taking shape with commitments from linebacker JP Peace, offensive tackle Princeton Uwaifo, defensive lineman Kadin Fife, and quarterback Derrick Baker. The addition of Fielder could be a game-changer, providing a solid foundation for the Vols' offensive line in the years to come.
