Brayden Parks Stuns Fans by Naming Tennessee Among His Top Schools

Rising star Brayden Parks narrows his college choices, with Tennessee emerging as a key contender in the battle for top 2027 talent.

Tennessee is making moves in the recruiting arena for its 2027 football signing class, and one name that's catching attention is four-star defensive lineman Brayden Parks. Parks, who hails from Brother Rice High School in Chicago, Illinois, has included Tennessee in his top eight schools. Joining the Vols on this prestigious list are Ohio State, Notre Dame, Miami, Oregon, Michigan, Georgia, and Illinois.

Standing at an imposing 6-foot-3 and weighing 305 pounds, Parks is a force on the field. According to 247Sports, he's ranked as the No. 12 defensive lineman in his class and the No. 7 player in Illinois. Tennessee extended a scholarship offer to him on June 3, 2025, and he's set to visit the Vols for the first time on March 30.

Parks' journey in the recruiting spotlight began when Bowling Green offered him his first scholarship on January 23, 2024. Since then, a host of Power Four schools have joined the fray, including Purdue, Kansas State, Iowa, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Michigan State, USC, and many others.

Tennessee's 2027 recruiting class is already shaping up with commitments from linebacker JP Peace, offensive tackle Princeton Uwaifo, defensive lineman Kadin Fife, and quarterback Derrick Baker. The addition of Parks would further bolster a class that is already generating buzz.

As the recruitment process heats up, Tennessee fans will be eagerly watching to see if Parks chooses to bring his talents to Knoxville. With his visit on the horizon, the Vols are certainly in the mix for this highly sought-after prospect.
