Titans Line Up Two OC Interviews While Daboll Rumors Swirl

As the Titans begin offensive coordinator interviews under new head coach Robert Saleh, all eyes remain on Brian Daboll amid swirling speculation and high-stakes quarterback development plans.

The Tennessee Titans have their head coach in place - Robert Saleh, fresh off his run as the 49ers’ defensive coordinator - but the next big move might be even more critical: finding the right offensive coordinator to guide rookie quarterback Cam Ward. And while Brian Daboll’s name has been floating around as the top target, the Titans are clearly doing their due diligence with backup plans already in motion.

According to reports, Tennessee is set to interview Kliff Kingsbury and Adam Stenavich for the OC position on Monday. That’s two high-profile offensive minds with very different paths, but both bring serious credentials to the table.

Let’s start with Kingsbury. He’s one of the more recognizable names in offensive coaching circles, thanks to his time as both a head coach and offensive coordinator at the college and NFL levels.

Most recently, he was with the Washington Commanders, where he spent two seasons helping develop Jayden Daniels. Kingsbury’s offensive philosophy leans heavily into quarterback-friendly schemes - think spacing, tempo, and vertical shots - and that could be a huge asset for a young passer like Ward.

He’s got a track record of maximizing quarterback talent, and while his head coaching stint in Arizona had its ups and downs, his offensive acumen has never really been in question.

Then there’s Adam Stenavich, who’s taken a more traditional NFL coaching path. He’s been with the Green Bay Packers since 2019 and climbed the ranks to become offensive coordinator in 2022.

Stenavich has been instrumental in Jordan Love’s development - a process that required patience, structure, and a steady hand. That’s exactly what the Titans need right now.

With a rookie quarterback and a new head coach, stability and continuity in offensive development are crucial, and Stenavich has shown he can help build that from the ground up.

As for Daboll, he remains a name to watch. He’s reportedly the Titans’ top choice, but with head coaching opportunities still in play - namely with the Bills and Raiders - Tennessee can’t afford to wait too long. The early word was that Daboll would be open to the OC job in Nashville if he didn’t land a head coaching gig, but that’s far from a guarantee.

So the Titans are moving smartly, lining up interviews with two strong candidates who could each bring something unique to the table. Kingsbury offers an aggressive, quarterback-first approach with creative play design. Stenavich brings a system rooted in balance and development, honed in one of the league’s most stable offensive environments.

Whoever gets the nod will have one of the most important jobs on the staff: shaping the future of Cam Ward. The Titans have made their investment at quarterback - now it’s about putting the right coach in place to bring that investment to life.
