The Tennessee Titans took down the defending Super Bowl champion Seattle Seahawks 19-16 in their second preseason game, but the real takeaway wasn’t much of a fireworks show from the starters. The offense and defense both stayed fairly quiet early, while a couple of familiar names carried the night.
K Joey Slye earned player of the game honors after picking up right where he left off in the preseason opener. He had already drilled three kicks from 50-plus yards against the 49ers last week - from 53, 55 and 58 yards - and against Seattle he added another long one, knocking through a 55-yard field goal to start the Titans’ scoring. He finished with four field goals against the Seahawks, matching his total from the 49ers game, and is now 8-8 on field goals through the first two preseason contests.
The honorary player of the game went to rookie linebacker Anthony Hill Jr., the second-round pick out of Texas. He came up with the defense’s first turnover of the preseason when he intercepted Seahawks QB Jalen Milroe late in the third quarter, setting up another Joey Slye field goal.
Hill also helped force a sack early in the fourth quarter on a third down, getting to Milroe before DE Truman Jones finished the play. He led the Titans with seven tackles and added the interception, which was also recorded as a pass defended.
Tennessee wraps up its preseason this Saturday, August 29, when the Chicago Bears visit Nashville for a 5:00 PM CST kickoff. The regular season is under three weeks away.

Fans will not have to wait long to see it, either. The Titans are scheduled to wear the uniform once in the 2026 season, on Nov. 15 against the Jacksonville Jaguars, and it will stay in the rotation for three seasons.
