The Tennessee Titans find themselves in an intriguing position this offseason, with plenty of free-agent talent still available and a robust $64 million in cap space to work with, according to Spotrac. General Manager Mike Borgonzi made early moves in free agency, focusing primarily on fortifying Robert Saleh's defense. While they did make a notable offensive acquisition by trading for Wan’Dale Robinson, the bulk of their resources has been dedicated to strengthening the defensive side of the ball, particularly in the trenches and secondary.
Despite these efforts, there's a standout edge rusher still on the market who could be a game-changer for the Titans: Joey Bosa. Pro Football Focus analyst Mason Cameron has highlighted Tennessee as an ideal landing spot for Bosa, who spent the 2025 season wreaking havoc with the Buffalo Bills. Last season, Bosa led the league with five forced fumbles and consistently applied pressure off the edge, showcasing his ability to disrupt opposing offenses.
Pairing Bosa with Jermaine Johnson, alongside stalwarts like Jon Franklin-Myers and Jeffery Simmons, would create a formidable defensive front for Tennessee. While the Titans posted respectable pass-rush metrics in 2025, much of the credit went to Simmons' interior dominance. The team ranked just 28th in edge pressure rate and 26th in pass-rush productivity, areas where Bosa could provide a significant boost.
Bosa's stint in Buffalo saw him step into the shoes of Von Miller, and he delivered, elevating the Bills' pass defense. His market value is pegged at $13.7 million, but with his continued free agency status, the Titans might negotiate a more team-friendly deal, potentially with performance incentives. Despite a history of injuries during his time with the Chargers, Bosa proved his durability last season, missing only one game.
Bringing Bosa to Nashville would not only enhance the Titans' pass rush but also add a seasoned veteran presence under Saleh's guidance. With plenty of good football left in him, Bosa could be the missing piece that elevates Tennessee's defense to new heights.
