Titans Add Tanzel Smart to Coaching Team, Full Staff Revealed

Titans bolster their coaching lineup with strategic hires and key retentions, unveiling a dynamic blend of experience and fresh perspectives.

The Titans have made a strategic move by finalizing their coaching roster under the guidance of defensive coordinator Robert Saleh. The latest addition is Tanzel Smart, stepping in as the assistant defensive line coach. Smart is no stranger to Saleh, having played under him with the Jets and gaining valuable experience with the Cowboys' staff last season.

Continuity is key for the Titans as they hold onto several key figures from last year’s lineup. Assistant head coach and special teams coordinator John Fassell remains on board, bringing his expertise to the team. Senior defensive assistant Ben Bloom, offensive assistant Trevor Browder, and running backs coach Randy Jordan are also staying put, providing stability and familiarity.

On the defensive side, Tony Oden continues his role as the defensive pass game coordinator and cornerbacks coach, while Rayna Stewart stays as the assistant special teams coach. Luke Stocker, known for his work with tight ends, also returns, ensuring that the Titans maintain a cohesive unit.

The Titans have also introduced a wave of fresh talent to their coaching ranks. Offensive coordinator Brian Daboll and defensive coordinator Gus Bradley headline the new faces, bringing a wealth of knowledge and innovative strategies. Dave Borgonzi takes charge of the linebackers, while Carmen Bricillo oversees the offensive line.

Dalton Hilliard steps in as the defensive backs/nickels coach, with Cade Knox taking on dual responsibilities as an offensive assistant and game management coach. Greg Lewis is set to mentor the wide receivers, and Marquand Manuel will guide the safeties.

Adding to the depth, John Rudnicki and Ahmed Saleh join as offensive and defensive assistants, respectively. Shea Tierney will focus on developing the quarterbacks, while Aaron Whitecotton takes on the dual role of defensive run game coordinator and defensive line coach. Isaac Williams supports the offensive line as the assistant coach, and Rob Dadona rounds out the team as the chief of staff.

With this blend of seasoned veterans and fresh perspectives, the Titans are poised to tackle the upcoming season with renewed vigor and strategic insight.
