Robert Saleh Linked to Titans' Free Agent Target in Bold Move

With the Titans poised to explore free agency, a potential reunion with Breece Hall under Robert Saleh may reshape their running back strategy.

The Tennessee Titans are eyeing the free agent market, possibly setting their sights on a premier running back. With Tony Pollard potentially becoming a salary cap casualty, GM Mike Borgonzi could find himself with over $100 million in cap space to fill the void.

Breece Hall, currently with the New York Jets, tops the list of potential free agent running backs. Rumors suggest the Jets might use the transition tag on Hall, allowing him to negotiate with other teams while giving the Jets a chance to match any offers. This scenario makes the Titans a compelling contender, especially given Hall's connection with Robert Saleh.

Hall's history with Saleh is noteworthy. Drafted in the second round of the 2022 NFL Draft, Hall joined the Jets during Saleh's tenure as head coach.

Though Saleh was dismissed in 2024, their time together was significant. Hall's rookie year was cut short by an ACL injury, yet he still managed an impressive 5.8 yards per carry.

He bounced back in 2023, rushing for 994 yards.

Despite the Jets' mid-season firesale last year, they seem interested in retaining Hall. However, if he hits the open market, the Titans are well-positioned financially to make a strong offer. Spotrac projects Hall's next deal to be around four years and $41.5 million, a figure well within the Titans' budget.

Should the Jets let Hall explore free agency, the Titans appear ready to bring him back under Saleh's wing.
