The Tennessee Titans have been making waves in free agency, proving skeptics wrong by smartly elevating their roster without any head-scratching contracts. With around a dozen signings under their belt, the Titans are shaping their identity under Mike Borgonzi and Robert Saleh. But the work isn’t done yet-expect more moves in the coming days and weeks.
Now that the dust has settled a bit, it’s a good moment to assess what’s next for the Titans. Here’s a look at their top priorities moving forward.
Interior Offensive Line
The Titans are investing in Peter Skoronski, but one man can’t fill every gap. The current plan to let Austin Schlottmann and Jackson Slater compete for the center spot might raise some eyebrows. Add to that the need for a right guard, and it’s clear the Titans must bring in a veteran presence to solidify the interior line.
EDGE
With Jermaine Johnson joining the fold and the disruptive duo of Jeffery Simmons and John Franklin-Myers on the interior, the pass rush is already looking up for 2026. However, the Titans still need another proven starter or a high-upside rookie to balance the attack on the opposite edge.
Defensive Back
Alontae Taylor’s versatility leaves the Titans with options but also questions. If Taylor is slotted as a boundary corner, the team needs a nickel corner to compete with Marcus Harris and add depth.
Alternatively, if Kevin Winston is seen as a slot defender, the Titans should look for a safety who can step in as a starter or a reliable role player. Either way, adding a quality defensive back is crucial.
Wide Receiver
While there’s a slim chance Calvin Ridley returns, it’s more likely he won’t. The Titans would be wise to target a boundary receiver, whether it’s an available free agent or a Day 2 draft pick in 2026.
Linebacker
Cody Barton had a challenging season, and the Titans’ linebacker corps could see significant improvement with the right addition next to Cedric Gray. Bobby Okereke could be that player, but as the market shapes up, it will soon become clear how the Titans plan to address this need.
The Titans are on the right track, but these strategic moves will be key in solidifying their roster for the upcoming season.
