Miami Dolphins Land Bobby Slowik in Move That Shakes Up Coaching Plans

The Dolphins make a bold offensive move, snagging Bobby Slowik and reshaping the coordinator carousel across the league.

One of the names reportedly on Robert Saleh’s radar for the Titans’ offensive coordinator job is officially off the market. Bobby Slowik is heading to Miami, where he’ll join Jeff Hafley’s staff as the Dolphins’ new OC. That move closes the door on any potential reunion between Slowik and Saleh-who previously worked together in San Francisco-before Saleh took the reins in New York.

While there hadn’t been any confirmed links between Slowik and the Titans, the connection made sense on paper. Saleh and Slowik shared time on Kyle Shanahan’s 49ers staff, and familiarity often plays a big role when assembling a coaching staff. But with Slowik now committed to Miami, Saleh’s search continues.

The name most prominently tied to Tennessee’s offensive coordinator vacancy remains Brian Daboll. Daboll, who’s been in the mix for head coaching gigs with both the Bills and Raiders, is reportedly the Titans’ top target-assuming he doesn’t land one of those top jobs. If he becomes available, Tennessee is said to be in a strong position to bring him aboard.

Daboll’s track record speaks for itself. He helped build one of the league’s most dynamic offenses in Buffalo before taking over as head coach of the Giants. Now, with the head coaching carousel in motion, he could be in line for a reset as an OC if the right fit doesn’t materialize at the top.

Saleh has also reportedly spoken with Arthur Smith about a possible return to Tennessee. Smith, of course, was the Titans’ offensive coordinator before taking the head coaching job in Atlanta. His familiarity with the organization and his past success with Derrick Henry and the Titans’ run-heavy attack make him an intriguing option.

Other potential candidates in the mix include former Commanders OC Kliff Kingsbury and current Packers OC Adam Stenavich. Kingsbury brings a more pass-heavy, spread-oriented approach, while Stenavich has helped shape a balanced, efficient offense in Green Bay that emphasizes physicality and smart quarterback play.

The Titans’ search is shaping up to be one of the more intriguing coordinator hunts this offseason. With a new head coach in place and a roster that still has talent on both sides of the ball, the right offensive mind could help Tennessee turn things around quickly. The next hire will say a lot about the direction this team wants to go-and who they believe can get them there.
