The Titans’ Week 2 spotlight didn’t just come from their own near-upset of the Eagles. Across the league, a few familiar faces kept popping up for very different reasons - some making plays, others getting exposed.
Marcus Mariota was the biggest name to resurface in a meaningful way. With Jayden Daniels leaving Washington’s loss to the Dallas Cowboys with what was described as an apparent serious elbow injury, Mariota stepped in and handled the rest of the job. The former Titans No. 2 overall pick completed 11 of 16 passes for 111 yards and a touchdown, and he now appears set to start for the Commanders for the foreseeable future.
In Kansas City, L’Jarius Sneed had a rough night against the Indianapolis Colts. Titans fans know that story all too well.
According to Pro Football Focus, Sneed was targeted 13 times and allowed 10 catches for 126 yards and a touchdown. That came against Daniel Jones and a receiving corps that had already lost Alec Pierce to injury.
The Chiefs also had another former Titan starting at corner in Kristian Fulton, who lined up opposite Sneed. Fulton grabbed an interception in the first quarter by getting in position on a physical slant route, and he spent much of the game in tight coverage. Still, he was flagged twice for pass interference.
T’Vondre Sweat kept doing what he does best for the New York Jets, even in a nailbiting overtime loss to the Green Bay Packers. Green Bay managed only 63 net rushing yards, and Sweat chipped in with a few tackles, stops and a quarterback pressure while helping set the tone inside.
There was also one more former Titan note to track with Chig Okonkwo. After finishing with just 16 receiving yards in his Commanders debut, he was sidelined in Week 2 with a hamstring injury, and his Washington start has gotten off to a rough beginning.

The Jets have taken another flier at quarterback, this time adding former Titans starter Will Levis to the practice squad after moving on from Bailey Zappe. Levis lands in New York with a familiar label attached to him as a high-variance arm, and he brings the kind of experience that can be useful even in a deep reserve role.
Levis missed the entire 2025 season because of a shoulder injury, but he still has 21 NFL starts on his rsum and now slots in as the Jets third-string quarterback behind Geno Smith and rookie Cade Klubnik. For Tennessee fans, it is another reminder of how quickly the league moves on from a young passer, and for the Jets it is one more layer of insurance in a quarterback room that already has a clear starter and a developmental understudy. Titans Rookies Have An Early Bright Spot Fans Can't Ignore
Through two weeks, the Titans rookie class has already given the coaching staff a little something to work with, and linebacker Anthony Hill Jr. has been the clearest early bright spot. His Week 2 showing against the Eagles stood out enough to put him atop Tennessees rookie rankings, and his start to the season has been impossible to miss with 26 tackles, the most in the NFL so far.
The rest of the class has had a more mixed introduction. Guard Fernando Carmona, wide receiver Carnell Tate, running back Nick Singleton and edge rusher Keldric Faulk have all flashed in different ways, but their impact and playing time have varied as the Titans continue sorting out how quickly each can fit into the rotation.
