Landon Corbin Stuns Field With Big Win at Viper Showdown

Landon Corbin rose to the occasion at Thunder Alley Lanes, capturing the Viper Showdown title in a thrilling finale.

Thunder Alley Lanes was the place to be last weekend as Will Jones and Abe Monosmith rolled out another strong showing on the local bowling scene with their latest event - the Viper Showdown Tournament.

The action kicked off early Saturday morning, and by the time the pins stopped falling, it was Red Hawk senior Landon Corbin standing tall at the top of the stepladder. Corbin put together a solid qualifying performance to earn his spot in the finals, then delivered when it mattered most, outdueling former Dickson County High standout Jaxon Lampley to claim the title.

Rounding out the podium was another familiar name: former Red Hawk Landon Spicer, who took third place after a strong showing of his own.

This marks the third tournament Jones and Monosmith have brought to the local lanes, and their momentum isn’t slowing down anytime soon. Next up is the Youth Classic, a tournament designed specifically for young bowlers looking to make their mark. That event is already set for Saturday, February 21, at Bowl-O-Rena in Dickson.

With each event, this duo continues to build something special for the area’s bowling community - competitive, well-run tournaments that give local talent a chance to shine. And if the Viper Showdown is any indication, the Youth Classic should be another can't-miss event.
