TCU Lands Underrated Star Lineman in Big 2026 Recruiting Win

TCU adds another key piece to its offensive line future with the commitment of a powerful in-state prospect from a familiar pipeline.

TCU just added some serious muscle up front, and it comes in the form of a 6-foot-5, 345-pound mauler from Ridge Point High School. Offensive lineman Jordan Burnett is officially a Horned Frog, signing on the dotted line and giving TCU one of the more intriguing additions in the 2026 recruiting class.

Burnett may not have been the most talked-about name in the cycle, but make no mistake-this is a high-upside get for the Frogs. He’s the kind of prospect who might not dominate the rankings, but when you turn on the tape, you see a player with raw power, surprising agility for his size, and a mean streak in the trenches. That combination is hard to teach, and it’s exactly what offensive line coaches salivate over.

He’s one of three offensive linemen TCU has brought in during this cycle, joining Vincent Johnson Jr. and Devan Robison. That trio gives the Frogs a solid foundation for the future in the trenches-something every successful program needs to build from the inside out.

Burnett made his commitment back in early March, choosing TCU over a respectable list of offers that included Pittsburgh, Tulsa, Vanderbilt, Arkansas State, UTSA, and UTEP. According to 247Sports, he’s rated as the No. 86 interior offensive lineman in the country and the No. 151 overall prospect in Texas. That’s solid footing for a player who still has plenty of room to grow and develop.

This signing also keeps the Ridge Point-to-TCU pipeline flowing. The Frogs already dipped into that Houston-area program in the 2025 class, landing Dane Jones and Gil Jackson. It’s no coincidence-Ridge Point head coach Rick LaFavers is a former Horned Frog himself, and that connection continues to pay dividends for TCU on the recruiting trail.

Burnett brings size, strength, and a blue-collar mentality to Fort Worth. He’s the kind of player who could quietly develop into a key piece of the offensive line rotation down the road. And if his trajectory continues upward, don’t be surprised if he outplays his ranking and becomes a name to remember in the years ahead.
