TCU’s path through the 2027 Big 12 baseball season is now set, and the league handed the Frogs a schedule loaded with familiar names, in-state trips and one final home series against a team that reached the College World Series in 2026.
Conference play opens March 19 with a road test at UCF. That trip starts with an opponent TCU knows well: the Frogs hosted the Knights in 2026 and dropped two of three, their second straight series loss to UCF. Since the Knights entered the Big 12, TCU is 2-4 against them.
The next weekend brings the first of two straight home dates in Fort Worth, beginning March 26 against Oklahoma State and Kollin Ritchie. The Cowboys swept TCU on the first weekend of May in 2026, so that series will carry some recent baggage. Baylor comes in from Waco the following weekend, April 2, after TCU took two of three from the Bears on the road last season.
After that, the Frogs head west for an April 9 series at Arizona. The Wildcats had a rough 2026 by their standards, missing the Big 12 tournament, but they still managed to win two of three over TCU in Fort Worth. TCU returns home April 16 to face Kansas State, a matchup the Frogs handled well in 2026 with two wins in Manhattan.
A trip to Cincinnati follows on April 23. TCU didn’t see the Bearcats in 2026, but the Frogs were swept there in 2025. The back half of the schedule keeps the travel coming, starting with a home series against BYU on April 30 and then back-to-back road weekends in Texas: at Texas Tech on May 7 and at Houston on May 14.
The regular season closes with a home series against West Virginia on May 21. The Mountaineers finished second in the Big 12 and then went on a postseason run all the way to the College World Series.
Before conference play begins, TCU opens the 2027 season at Globe Life Field from February 19-21 as part of the Shriners Children’s College Showdown.

TCUs 2026 outlook has a familiar Sonny Dykes feel to it: plenty of reasons to like the roster, plenty of reasons to keep the brakes on the hype. The biggest reason for optimism, and the biggest thing left to sort out, is Jaden Craig. His operation in camp has already hinted at a quarterback who can make the offense hum in tight spaces, which is exactly why the rest of the passing game matters so much. TCU can see the outline of something promising for 2026, but whether it turns into a real push will depend on how quickly Craig and the Frogs answer the one question that still hangs over the whole plan.
