TCU is gearing up for a big day as they host their Pro Day for NFL scouts this Thursday evening. With representation from 31 of the 32 NFL teams, it's clear the Frogs are drawing some serious attention.
Sixteen former TCU players are set to showcase their talents. However, a few of them, including Bud Clark, Kaleb Elarms-Orr, and Namdi Obiazor, have decided to sit out some drills.
These players already made a splash earlier this month at the NFL Combine in Indianapolis, and they're banking on those impressive results. Elarms-Orr, for instance, turned heads with one of the fastest 40-yard dash times at 4.47 seconds and a vertical leap of 40 inches among linebackers.
He'll focus on the pro shuttle and bench press this time around.
Clark, who clocked in at 4.42 seconds in the 40-yard dash at the combine, mentioned he'll be participating in some coverage drills. Meanwhile, Obiazor will stick to individual drills.
Eric McAlister, who was at the combine but didn't test, is ready to go all out at the Pro Day, eager to show scouts his full range of skills.
Here's the lineup of former Frogs taking the field:
- Kevorian Barnes - RB
- Trent Battle - RB
- Eric McAlister - WR
- Joseph Manjack IV - WR
- Coltin Deery - OL
- Carson Bruno - OL
- Chase Curtis - TE
- DJ Rogers - TE
- Devean Deal - EDGE
- Kaleb Elarms-Orr - LB (will not run 40)
- Namdi Obiazor - LB (will not test)
- Jevon McIver Jr. - CB
- Channing Canada - CB
- Austin Jordan - S
- Bud Clark - S (will not test)
With so much talent on display, TCU's Pro Day promises to be an event full of potential and opportunity for these aspiring NFL players.
