James Roberson Locks In Crucial Visit With TCU This Month

James "Trey" Roberson, a top safety prospect from Allen, TX, plans a pivotal visit to TCU, cementing their position as a frontrunner in his recruitment journey.

James Roberson, a standout three-star safety from Allen, Texas, is gearing up for an official visit to TCU from May 29-31. This is shaping up to be a pivotal recruiting weekend for the Horned Frogs, with other top defensive prospects like Drake Carroll, Bryce Breeden, and Rontrae Carter also set to visit.

Roberson, who stands at 6-foot and weighs 195 pounds, is one of the most sought-after safety prospects from Texas, boasting over 20 offers. His last trip to TCU was in January for the Frogs' Top Target Day, where he started to build a strong rapport with safeties coach Tre Watson and defensive coordinator Andy Avalos. Their influence left a lasting impression on him.

Reflecting on the visit, Roberson shared, "I had great conversations with the safeties coach and the defensive coordinator. Out of all my TCU visits, this was by far the best.

We went over film, and I got to learn about their base defense. They envision me playing at boundary safety."

With other schools in the mix and more visits on the horizon, TCU has made a significant impact on Roberson's recruitment journey. "TCU is very high on my list after that visit," he noted.

Ranked as the No. 55 safety in the nation by the 247Sports composite rankings, Roberson's decision will be closely watched as he continues to weigh his options.
