The Tampa Bay Rays are back with an exciting new season of Rays Gaming, presented by Webull, their official online brokerage partner. Season four kicks off with the Creator Showdown, a thrilling one-night tournament featuring 16 of the top content creators from Twitch, TikTok, and YouTube.
Mark your calendars for Tuesday, March 24 at 6 p.m. EDT, as players from the U.S., Canada, and Japan compete using the Tampa Bay Rays' live roster.
This year introduces a fresh format: players will be divided into groups of four, with the top two from each group advancing in a single-elimination bracket.
But the excitement doesn’t stop there. The Sunburst Invitational tournament offers gamers from the U.S. and Canada a shot at glory in “MLB The Show 26.”
Not only is there a cash prize up for grabs, but also a trip to St. Petersburg, Florida, for the in-person championship.
The tournament structure includes four online qualifier events, and for the first time, players can compete against all 30 MLB live-roster teams in the initial qualifier. As the competition heats up, those advancing to the second qualifier and beyond will exclusively use the Rays' roster.
Gamers aged 13 and over in the U.S. and Canada can join the action for free, with registration opening on Sunday, March 15. The qualifiers will be streamed live on the Rays' Twitch, TikTok, and YouTube channels, bringing fans right into the heart of the competition.
The stakes are high for the four winners of the qualifier events, who will be flown to St. Petersburg for the Sunburst Invitational Championship on Thursday, July 16.
The semifinals kick off at 12 p.m. EST, followed by the finals at 7 p.m.
EST, all hosted at Coastal Creative in St. Petersburg.
These nail-biting matches will be broadcast live, ensuring fans don’t miss a moment of the action.
The finalists will share a $12,000 prize pool, with the champion taking home $8,000, the runner-up $2,500, and $750 each for third and fourth places. Adding to the excitement, popular “MLB The Show” streamers Rich Veit (@ScuffyMcGee), Tyler Dimmu (@DaddyDimmu), and Justin Scannello (@TheScann) will provide live commentary, bringing their unique insights and energy to the final events. It’s a season you won’t want to miss!
