Tampa Bay Lightning Reassign Rising Star Milo Roelens to New Team

Lightning's forward Milo Roelens heads to the Solar Bears, marking another strategic move in his developing career.

The Tampa Bay Lightning have made a strategic move, reassigning forward Milo Roelens from the Syracuse Crunch to the Orlando Solar Bears of the ECHL. Crunch General Manager and Head Coach Joel Bouchard announced the decision, which could be a pivotal moment in Roelens' development.

Roelens, a towering presence at 6-foot-7 and 225 pounds, has shown promise this season. In 19 games with the Crunch, he's contributed three assists.

His stint with the Solar Bears has been even more productive, with 11 goals and seven assists over 33 games. Last season, Roelens tallied six goals and two assists in 35 games with the Crunch, alongside a brief yet impactful appearance with the Solar Bears, recording one goal and two assists in 16 contests.

Before turning pro, Roelens made a name for himself in the QMJHL, racking up 165 points in 238 games with the Acadie-Bathurst Titan, Sherbrooke Phoenix, and Gatineau Olympiques. His blend of size and skill has always been intriguing, and this reassignment might just be the next step in unlocking his full potential.
