The Tampa Bay Lightning are loading up the 2026-27 home schedule with theme nights, giveaways and a couple of fresh debuts.
On Tuesday, the club released its theme night slate for the upcoming season at Benchmark International Arena, and the lineup includes the first Bolts & Boots Night and Margaritaville Night. Along with those special nights, fans will see a steady stream of arena giveaways, from Jake Guentzel and Brandon Hagel bobbleheads to collectible pocket art cards designed by Spector Art and other exclusive items.
The season opens Saturday, Oct. 3 at 7:00 p.m. against the Capitals, with a magnet schedule giveaway on Opening Night.
From there, the calendar quickly fills in. Noche Latina lands on Thursday, Oct. 15 against the Kraken, followed by Halloween Night on Thursday, Oct. 29 against the Jets, when the first 10,000 fans will receive a Victor Hedman collectible pocket art giveaway.
Military Appreciation Night comes Thursday, Nov. 5 against the Blackhawks, then Patch With a Purpose Night and a player keychain giveaway arrive Thursday, Nov. 19 against the Oilers. Hockey Fights Cancer Night is set for Sunday, Nov. 22 against the Sabres, and the Thanksgiving game on Wednesday, Nov. 25 against the Hurricanes includes a bug keeper hat giveaway.
The Lightning also have several more giveaway nights lined up through the winter. Nikita Kucherov collectible pocket art will be handed out to the first 10,000 fans on Monday, Dec. 7 against the Blue Jackets. Holiday games follow on Thursday, Dec. 17 against the Flames and Tuesday, Dec. 22 against the Blues, before the New Year’s Eve game on Thursday, Dec. 31 at 2:00 p.m. against the Canadiens.
January brings Bolts & Boots Night on Saturday, Jan. 2 against the Sabres, Pride Night on Thursday, Jan. 14 against the Golden Knights, Kids Day on Saturday, Jan. 16 against the Senators, Hockey Talks Night on Tuesday, Jan. 26 against the Kings, and Gasparilla Night on Saturday, Jan. 30 against the Islanders.
The second half of the schedule keeps the special nights coming. Jake Guentzel gets a bobblehead giveaway on Thursday, Feb. 18 against the Ducks.
Black Heritage Night follows on Sunday, Feb. 28 against the Mammoth, then Margaritaville Night on Thursday, March 11 against the Devils. Brandon Hagel’s bobblehead giveaway is set for Tuesday, March 23 against the Panthers.
March closes with First Responders Night on Thursday, March 25 against the Flyers, a T-shirt giveaway on Saturday, March 27 against the Rangers, and Women in Sports Night on Tuesday, March 30 against the Maple Leafs, when the first 10,000 fans will receive an Andrei Vasilevskiy collectible pocket art giveaway.
April brings one more stretch of themed home dates: Game Presented on Thursday, April 1 against the Blue Jackets, Goals For Food Night on Thursday, April 8 against the Canadiens, and Fan Appreciation Night on Saturday, April 10 against the Bruins.

The 20-year-old forward handled a solid season with KalPa in Finlands Liiga, showing the kind of all-around game that tends to get NHL clubs paying closer attention. He has built his reputation on playmaking, a willingness to get to the front of the net and the kind of defensive responsibility Tampa Bay likes to see from young forwards trying to earn trust.
Saarelainens role should expand next season, which only adds to the intrigue around where his development goes from here. For now, the plan is for him to stay in Finland a while longer, but his path eventually could lead to an entry-level contract and a move to North America if the Lightning decide the timing is right. Brandon Hagel Is Forcing A Massive Lightning Top-Line Debate
Brandon Hagel has spent the past two seasons turning himself into much more than a useful winger for Tampa Bay. After a 90-point breakout in 2024-25, he followed it with a career year in 2025-26, giving the Lightning another high-end offensive threat at a time when the top of the lineup has never looked more crowded. At this stage, the question is no longer whether Hagel belongs in the teams core plans. It is how far the Lightning want to push him up the lineup as he settles into his prime.
Nikita Kucherov remains the name that changes the whole conversation, because more time with Tampa Bays star playmaker could unlock an even bigger season for Hagel.
