The Syracuse Crunch are turning Oct. 17 into a Fourth Wing celebration.
The team announced Fourth Wing Night for Saturday, Oct. 17, when Syracuse hosts the Rochester Americans at 5 p.m., with Lit Actually joining in on the event built around Rebecca Yarros’ popular Empyrean series novel. During the game, Lit Actually will set up a table in Memorial Hall with the Fourth Wing (Wing and Claw Collection) book available for purchase, and the Crunch will sell a Fourth Wing sweatshirt at the merchandise stand.
Fans who want the full experience can buy VIP Packages, which include a Basgiath-style game woven into the night. VIP Package holders will get sealed envelopes at the start of the game and open one after each period, representing the parapet, the gauntlet and threshing. A limited number of fans will make it through threshing and bond with a Crunch athlete, then be invited onto the ice for a postgame photo with that athlete.
Fourth Wing Night will feature three ticket options.
The VIP Package costs $70 and includes entry to the game with seating and access to the Pit and Stage areas, the Fourth Wing (Wing and Claw Collection) book by Rebecca Yarros, early access to Fourth Wing merchandise before the general public, participation in the Basgiath-style game during the Crunch game and a Fourth Wing x Crunch bookmark.
VIP Packages go on sale Wednesday, August 5 at 12 p.m. and will be limited, with availability at www.syracusecrunch.com/fourthwingVIP.
The Premium Package is priced at $50 and includes arena seating, the Fourth Wing (Wing and Claw Collection) book by Rebecca Yarros and a Fourth Wing x Crunch bookmark. Premium packages go on sale Thursday, August 6 at 12 p.m.
Single-game tickets will cost $25 and include arena seating plus a Fourth Wing x Crunch bookmark. Those tickets will be available at a later date.
A portion of all tickets sold for Fourth Wing Night will benefit The Trevor Project, a nonprofit focused on suicide prevention for LGBTQ+ young people.
Lit Actually, based inside Olive’s Eatery in Baldwinsville, bills itself as Central New York’s first and only romance-focused independent bookshop. The store has hosted author signings, release parties, book clubs, themed pop-ups and larger community events, and says its goal is to bring stories off the page and into real life. It has also welcomed bestselling authors and worked with local venues to help build a romance-reading community in the region.
