Bucs Star Antoine Winfield Jr Stuns Pro Bowl Crowd With MVP Performance

Amid a tough season for Tampa Bay, one Buccaneer stole the spotlight with a breakout Pro Bowl performance.

When the 2026 Pro Bowl rosters dropped just before Christmas, there were a few head-turners in both conferences. And let’s be honest-given how much the Bucs were struggling at that point in the season, seeing any of their players make the cut felt like a bit of a surprise.

But Tuesday night’s Pro Bowl flag football game gave Tampa Bay fans something to smile about. Antoine Winfield Jr., one of the Bucs’ standout defenders, made his presence felt in a big way. Late in the game, he snagged an interception off Joe Burrow, putting an exclamation mark on an impressive showing for the NFC.

Winfield wasn’t the only Buccaneer representing in the Pro Bowl festivities. Offensive tackle Tristan Wirfs, cornerback Jamel Dean, and quarterback Baker Mayfield also earned their spots on the NFC squad. Each of them brought something to the table this season, even if the team as a whole had its ups and downs.

For a franchise that rode a rollercoaster throughout the year, getting multiple players into the Pro Bowl is a silver lining-and a reminder that there's still plenty of talent on this roster. If Tampa Bay can find more consistency in 2026, don’t be surprised if even more Bucs are suiting up for the league’s all-star showcase next year.
