Bucs Defensive Line Takes a Hit as Key Player Joins Texans

Bucs face depth challenges as Logan Hall signs with Texans, prompting strategic roster moves.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have seen their defensive line depth take a hit over the years due to injuries and free agency. Now, they're facing another departure as Logan Hall moves on to the Houston Texans, aiming to address a more pressing need for the team.

NFL Media's Ian Rapoport broke the news that Hall, a defensive lineman, has inked a deal with the Texans. This move marks a return to familiar territory for Hall, as he heads back to Houston, where he made a name for himself in college playing for the Cougars.

Drafted in the second round of the 2022 NFL Draft, Hall didn't quite live up to his draft expectations but carved out a niche as a valuable rotational player on the defensive line. During his stint with the Bucs, Hall racked up 101 tackles, 10 sacks, and forced three fumbles, showing flashes of brilliance.

With Hall's exit, the Buccaneers will be looking to the upcoming free agency period and the NFL Draft to find a suitable replacement and bolster their defensive line once again.
