Syracuse basketball’s recruiting radar is locked in on North Augusta this weekend, where several Orange targets are fighting through the Peach Jam quarterfinals with the final live period of the summer underway.
The annual event is the championship stage of Nike’s EYBL circuit, and that matters for Syracuse because most of the program’s 2027 and 2028 targets play on EYBL teams. The Adidas 3SSB league is wrapping up in Rock Hill, S.C., and the Under Armour Association is finishing in Louisville, Ky., but the Peach Jam is where a chunk of SU’s board is making its move.
The quarterfinals and semifinals in the 16U and 17U divisions are set for Saturday, with the title games coming Sunday. Syracuse’s staff is expected to be in attendance again Saturday and Sunday.
Here’s where the Orange targets are scattered across the bracket:
In the 17U field, Florida Rebels has 2027 four-star small forward Carson Crawford, who holds a Syracuse offer. Renaissance Hoops features 2028 five-star wing/small forward Will Brunson, also with an SU offer. Nightrydas Elite includes 2027 five-star center Lewis Uvwo, another Syracuse target with an offer.
On Saturday morning, Florida Rebels knocked off Team CP3 to reach the semifinals, and Crawford scored 15 points in the win.
The 16U side is loaded too. Team Final has 2028 five-star center Logan Chwastyk plus 2028 four-star combo guards Rowan Phillips and Carter Smith, all of whom hold Syracuse offers.
Boo Williams has 2028 four-star wing Isaiah Carter, while UPLAY Canada features 2028 five-star point guard Liam Mitakaro and 2028 four-star forward Settimo Yugu. Team CP3 also has 2028 five-star wing Mason Collins.
The rest of the 17U quarterfinal matchups are Mokan Elite against Team Herro, Drive Nation against Renaissance Hoops and Nightrydas Elite against AB Elite. In the 16U bracket, Team Final meets Boo Williams, Why Not faces UPLAY Canada, Georgia Stars takes on AB Elite and Team CP3 goes up against Mokan Elite.
