Syracuse’s home game against California on Saturday is shaping up as a busy recruiting stop, with around 20 high school prospects expected at the JMA Wireless Dome for the Orange’s first Atlantic Coast Conference game of the 2026 season.
The group spans multiple classes and includes an Orange 2027 verbal commit, a four-star recruit in the 2028 class and two three-star quarterbacks from the West Coast who already hold Syracuse scholarship offers. The list, gathered from a source and social media posts, is not intended to be complete and could still change before kickoff.
The game between Syracuse and Cal is set for 3:30 p.m. EST on Sept. 12 and will air on the ACC Network.
Among the visitors in the 2027 class is Noah Collins-Howard, a three-star wide receiver from Rush-Henrietta Senior High School in Henrietta, N.Y., who verbally committed to Syracuse in March 2026. Also in the class is linebacker Drew Clancy of Kennett High School in Kennett Square, Pa., who holds interest from Syracuse.
The 2028 group includes several prospects with offers from the Orange, headlined by four-star athlete/defensive back Kia Jones Jr. from Seton LaSalle Catholic High School in Mt. Lebanon, Pa.
Syracuse has also extended offers to Zehkiy Dejesus, an athlete from St. Augustine Preparatory School in Richland, N.J.; Akeem Jones Jr., an edge from the same school; Samuel Furr IV, an offensive lineman from West Orange High School in West Orange, N.J.; Ayden Edwards, a three-star quarterback from Tustin High School in Tustin, Calif.; Julian Corry, an athlete from Burlington City High School in Burlington, N.J.; Dontaye Day-Thompson, an athlete from Atlantic City High School in Atlantic City, N.J.; Star Thomas, a three-star quarterback from Orange High School in Orange, Calif.; Marques Harris, a wide receiver from Milford Mill Academy in Windsor Mill, Md.; Zamaar Imhotep, an athlete from Charles Herbert Flowers High School in Springdale, Md.; and TJ Maddox, a 2028 three-star athlete from St.
Augustine Preparatory School.
Other 2028 visitors are listed as holding interest from Syracuse, including Darion Majeed, an athlete from Colonial Forge High School in Stafford, Va.; Carter Anderson, an offensive lineman from Branford High School in Branford, Conn.; and four-star long snapper Shane Sullivan of Cheshire Academy in Cheshire, Conn. The 2029 class is represented by Anthony Lucas Jr., an athlete from East High School in Rochester, N.Y., who holds a Syracuse offer; Legacy Taylor, also an athlete from East High School and listed as holding interest; and Nasir Hawkins, a defensive lineman from Northeast High School in Philadelphia, who holds an offer.
One 2030 prospect is also expected: offensive lineman William Cridlin of Virginia Episcopal School in Lynchburg, Va., who holds interest from Syracuse.
