Syracuse football’s home games in 2026 are getting a noticeable upgrade, with SU Athletics rolling out a slate of new fan experiences at the JMA Wireless Dome and on the Quad.
The changes touch plenty of corners of the gameday atmosphere: student engagement in the third quarter, a new team entrance, more energy built into the Dome light show, fresh food and beverage offerings in the Miron Victory Court, and other interactive elements. SU Athletics is also promising new fun on the Quad before fans even get inside.
“The Dome is one of the most unique venues in sports and we want to create a gameday atmosphere that harnesses its unlimited potential to create a first-class fan experience and a disruptive home-field advantage,” said Bryan Blair, SU’s athletics director, in a statement.
Blair also said Syracuse Athletics will keep gathering input from fans and students as it looks to roll out “larger efforts” in the future.
One of the biggest changes centers on the third quarter of home games. SU says it will introduce student-focused entertainment during that stretch, with special contests and giveaways, student-vs.-faculty/staff competitions, and student-only concession specials in the “Flex Space” behind sections 122 to 124.
That Flex Space will also include Otto’s Army giveaways and a photo booth. On top of that, there will be a new rapid-fire t-shirt cannon with giveaways.
Syracuse is also changing up the pregame and in-game atmosphere in other ways. The Orange will have an upgraded team entrance in 2026, though SU says “the newest element is being kept a surprise for the season opener.”
The Dome light show is back, too. On defensive third downs, DMX’s Ruff Ryders Anthem will play to help crank up the crowd, and Syracuse Athletics says it will use live decibel tracking at key moments so fans can “see an increased emphasis on measuring and celebrating the volume inside the Loud House.”
There’s also a shift coming late in games. SU says fourth-quarter programming will feature fewer interruptions and more focus on football and crowd energy.
Pregame activity will get a boost on the Quad as well. SU unveiled new experiences there on Monday, and fans will be able to enter the Dome 90 minutes before kickoff to check out the Miron Victory Court, which will offer “unique food and beverage options each week that you can only get inside Miron.”
On-field entertainment starts a half-hour before kickoff, highlighted by a performance from Syracuse’s marching band, which is celebrating its 150th year and will debut new uniforms this fall.
Syracuse’s 2026 season begins at home on Saturday, Sept. 5, against New Hampshire.

Syracuse Making Another Important In-State Impression With Rising 2028 Athlete
Brysen Fry has already gotten a feel for Syracuse once, and the Orange will get another chance to make their case when the rising 2028 athlete from Chenango Forks High School returns on Oct. 17 for a game day visit. Fry, a two-way player from Binghamton, has been in contact with Syracuse coaches about his development, his academics and where he might fit if the relationship keeps moving forward.
For Syracuse, these are the kinds of in-state impressions that matter early. Fry has spoken positively about the program and its emphasis on recruiting New York players, which gives the Orange a useful foothold as they keep building out future classes.
