Syracuse men’s basketball now has a much clearer road map for the 2026-27 season.
The ACC released its conference game times and TV designations, filling in almost all of the Orange’s league schedule and confirming what fans already know all too well: there are going to be plenty of late nights at the JMA Wireless Dome. The league slate includes several 9 p.m. starts, along with a few other tip times that should keep Syracuse in the spotlight.
The conference opener comes at Florida State on Tuesday, Dec. 29 at 6 p.m. on ACC Network. Syracuse then returns home for a noon matchup with Georgia Tech on Saturday, Jan. 2 on The CW before a Tuesday night home game against Duke on Jan. 5 at 7 p.m. on ESPN/ESPN2.
From there, the Orange’s ACC stretch runs through a packed January and February calendar. Syracuse visits Miami on Jan. 9 at 3 p.m. on ACC Network, heads to Pittsburgh on Jan. 12 at 7 p.m. on ESPN2/ESPNU, and hosts Louisville on Jan. 16 at 2 p.m. across ESPN/ESPN2/ESPNU. Boston College comes to town on Jan. 19 at 7 p.m. on ACC Network, followed by a noon home date with North Carolina on Jan. 23 on ESPN/ESPN2/ESPNU.
The schedule also includes a West Coast swing that will test Syracuse’s body clock. The Orange play at Stanford on Wednesday, Jan. 27 at 11 p.m. on ESPN2/ESPNU, then at California on Saturday, Jan. 30 at 5:30 p.m. on ACC Network. Later in the month, Syracuse hosts Virginia on Wednesday, Feb. 3 at 9 p.m. on ESPN2.
That’s not the only late-night home tip on the list. Syracuse will host Stanford again on Wednesday, Feb. 17 at 9 p.m. on ESPN2/ESPNU, then welcome Pittsburgh on Tuesday, Feb. 23 at 8 p.m. on ACC Network. The Orange also get a Wednesday night visit from Virginia Tech on Mar. 3 at 9 p.m. on ESPN2/ESPNU.
The league schedule includes a neutral-site matchup with Rutgers on Saturday, Feb. 6 at 11 a.m. on ESPN2, plus road games at Clemson on Feb. 10 at 7 p.m., at SMU on Feb. 20 at 2:15 p.m. on The CW, at Notre Dame on Feb. 27 at 8 p.m. on The CW, and at Wake Forest on Mar. 6 at 5:30 p.m. on The CW.
Syracuse’s conference slate wraps with a home game against Wake Forest on Saturday, Mar. 6 at 5:30 p.m. on The CW.
The ACC release leaves only a handful of non-conference games without official start times, meaning the Orange’s season is nearly fully mapped out. A few dates are still listed as TBA, including home games against New Haven, Central Connecticut State, Lafayette, Albany, Colgate, and Canisius.
The non-conference schedule also includes exhibition games against Connecticut on Tuesday, Oct. 13 at 7 p.m., Siena on Sunday, Oct. 18 at 2 p.m., and Niagara on Saturday, Oct. 24 at 3 p.m. Syracuse opens the regular season against New Haven on Monday, Nov. 2, then hosts Central Connecticut State on Thursday, Nov. 5 and Indiana on Monday, Nov. 9, all with times still to be announced.
Other confirmed dates include a road game at St. John’s on Sunday, Nov. 15 at 7 p.m. on Peacock, Cornell at home on Wednesday, Nov. 18 at 8 p.m. on ACC Network, an SEC/ACC Challenge trip to Oklahoma on Tuesday, Dec. 1 at 9 p.m. on ESPNU, Providence at a neutral site on Saturday, Dec. 19 at 12 p.m. on FOX, and Binghamton at home on Tuesday, Dec. 22 at 4 p.m. on ACC Network.
With nearly every start time now set, the 2026-27 schedule is taking shape in full. The late trip to Stanford, the two matchups with Pittsburgh, and the familiar run of Wednesday night home games all stand out on a calendar that is finally close to complete.

Syracuse Heads To Virginia With More Than One Problem To Solve
Syracuse heads into its Atlantic Coast Conference matchup at Virginia still carrying the boost of a recent overtime win against UConn, but the bigger picture has not changed much for a team trying to stop a nine-game conference losing streak. The Orange have been looking for a steadier answer in league play, and this trip offers another chance to show the UConn result was more than a brief lift.
Virginia enters with its own issues after recent losses and some defensive struggles, which gives Syracuse an opening if it can handle the details that have undone it in conference play. Both sides have enough uncertainty around them to make this a revealing game, especially for an Orange team that needs more than a single win to change the tone of its season. [Read more 🡒]
Syracuse Defense Suddenly Has A Big Concern Before Virginia
Syracuse is heading into its matchup with Virginia with a few important names hanging in the balance, and the concern starts on defense. Linebacker Antoine Deslauriers was listed as questionable on the ACC injury report, joining Ahmad Miller and Nazir Ward as uncertain for Saturdays game. For a defense trying to stay steady in conference play, that is not the kind of pregame update anyone wanted.
The Orange also had a special teams wrinkle to monitor, with kicker Tripp Woody marked doubtful and wide receiver Darien Williams ruled out. Virginia had its own injury note, with starting cornerback Omillio Agard listed as questionable, so both sides are waiting on final availability as kickoff approaches. [Read more 🡒]
Syracuse Must Build Around Amarri Monroe With His Status Still Unsettled
Amarri Monroes Syracuse future is on hold in the broader legal sense, but the Orange are preparing as if he is part of the rotation right now. The guard remains eligible to play because of a court injunction while he challenges the NCAAs 5-in-5 rule in a lawsuit, and Gerry McNamara has made clear the plan is to use him like any other key piece as the season unfolds.
The problem, of course, is that Monroes standing could shift again with the NCAA expected to appeal and no trial date on the calendar. That leaves Syracuse in a familiar sort of limbo, building around a player it wants on the floor while knowing his availability may still change at some point during the year. [Read more 🡒]
