Syracuse fans are already dreaming up the logos they’d like to see on Orange jerseys, helmets and uniforms now that Division I programs are allowed to add commercial sponsorships for the upcoming college football season.
Some schools are already moving in that direction, with Atlantic Coast Conference programs California and Notre Dame among those rolling out sponsorships. Syracuse, though, has not announced anything yet.
A Syracuse Athletics spokesperson said in a text to Inside the Loud House on Thursday: "By policy, we refrain from any public comment on prospective sponsorship partnerships. We only offer comment regarding any partnership once an agreement has been completed."
That left the door wide open for fan speculation, so Inside the Loud House asked followers on Thursday which companies or organizations they’d like to see paired with Syracuse teams. The responses came fast, and the list was a mix of local favorites, national brands and a few ideas with a wink.
One fan suggested leaning all the way into the school’s identity: "You could change the corporate sponsor to Orange Crush soda. And change the team name to Orange Crush.
Syracuse Orange Crush. Besides that, any local business advertised on a team uniform would look awful."
The response: "I like the Orange Crush idea!"
Another fan pointed to two companies with Syracuse ties in leadership, saying: "Both JetBlue and MetLife have Cuse alumni in leadership positions, so some natural ties there."
From there, the suggestions kept rolling. Beak and Skiff Apple Orchards, Micron and JMA Wireless drew support, with one fan calling Micron and JMA Wireless "two heavy hitters in Central New York." Wegmans also came up, as did Raymour & Flanigan, National Grid, SRC Inc. - formerly known as the Syracuse Research Corporation - Upstate Medical University, Paychex, FIFCO and Industrial Color Labs.
Food and drink names made a strong showing too. Fans mentioned Varsity Pizza, Dinosaur Bar-B-Que, Hofmann Sausage Company, Paladino's Pizza Mattydale, Wonderful Citrus, Chobani and O'Keefe's Old Vienna beer. One fan even noted Chobani’s Orange Cream Pop flavor, adding: "(yum)"
There was also a little humor mixed into the wish list. One fan singled out Carrier and said, "lol, that would be a tad ironic"
For now, it’s all just fan brainstorming. But if Syracuse does move ahead with sponsorship patches or logos, it already has a crowd ready to argue over the best fit.

Syracuse Receiver Concerns May Not Be As Serious As They Look
Josh Gattis has moved from offensive specialist to coaching Syracuses wide receivers in 2026, and the room he inherited comes with obvious questions. Calvin Russell III is dealing with a long-term injury, Darrell Gill Jr. and Jontay Cook are gone, and the Orange have had to reshape the position on the fly while trying to keep the passing game on schedule.
Even with those setbacks, there is reason to think the situation may not be as bleak as it first appears. Syracuse added transfers Cole Weaver and Zamondre Merriweather, and several players are working their way back from injury, giving Gattis a mix of newcomers and returning pieces to sort through. He has sounded encouraged by the talent level in the room and the overall options available as the Orange try to steady a position group that looked thin only a short time ago. [Read more 🡒]
Syracuse May Have Found A Secondary Answer Fans Need To Notice
BJ Long spent the offseason taking coach Fran Browns advice to heart, adding 20 pounds of muscle as he worked to reshape himself for the next level. It was the kind of physical commitment Syracuse wanted to see, the sort of step that can change how a player holds up over the course of a season and how NFL evaluators view him when they start digging into the details.
That effort has shown up in training camp, where Long has been working in a black jersey, a nod that places him among the defenses top performers in Browns practice setup. Brown has used colored jerseys as a motivational gauge throughout camp, so Longs spot in that group suggests he is not just meeting expectations, but pushing himself into the conversation for a starting role.
