Peach Jam arrives this week, and Syracuse basketball will have plenty of eyes on the EYBL’s biggest stage.
The annual tournament begins Tuesday in North Augusta, S.C., and it doubles as an NCAA-permitted live period from July 16 to July 19. That means the Orange staff is expected to be there tracking targets from multiple classes as the event unfolds. Peach Jam runs from July 14 to July 19.
There’s more high-level July action happening at the same time, too. The Adidas 3SSB league is set for its season-ending playoffs from July 16 to July 19 in Rock Hill, S.C., while the Under Armour Association’s tournament will also be held during those dates in Louisville, Ky. At the time of this writing, the schedules for the 3SSB and UAA playoffs had not yet been released, but Syracuse recruits in those leagues are likely to be involved in their own postseason events as well.
The EYBL field is packed with Orange targets, especially in the 17U and 16U divisions.
In the 17U group, Orlando’s Florida Rebels are 13-2 overall and feature 2027 four-star small forward Carson Crawford, who holds a Syracuse offer. Baltimore’s Team Melo, also a Syracuse stop on the recruiting radar, is 10-5 and includes 2027 four-star power forward Ian Condon, another player with an SU offer.
The Bronx-based PSA Cardinals are 10-5 and bring two more names into the mix: 2027 five-star wing/small forward Moussa Kamissoko, who holds an SU offer, and 2028 three-star wing Enmanuel Valera Melo, who holds interest from Syracuse. New York City’s Renaissance Hoops, at 9-6, has a pair of Orange targets as well in 2028 five-star wing/small forward Will Brunson and 2027 four-star Caleb Ourigou, both of whom hold SU offers.
Other 17U teams with Syracuse recruits include St. Louis-based Bradley Beal Elite, where 2027 four-star guard Devin Cleveland holds an SU offer; Miami-based Nightrydas Elite, home to 2027 five-star center Lewis Uvwo, who also holds an offer; and Memphis-based Team Thad, which features 2027 four-star shooting guard RJ Moore, another player with an SU offer.
The 16U division is just as loaded.
Philadelphia’s Team Final is 13-0 and includes 2028 five-star center Logan Chwastyk, 2028 four-star combo guard Rowan Phillips, and 2028 four-star combo guard Carter Smith. Chwastyk and Smith hold Syracuse offers, while Phillips holds interest from SU.
Toronto-based UPLAY Canada, also 13-0, features 2028 five-star point guard Liam Mitakaro and 2028 four-star forward Settimo Yugu, both of whom hold SU offers.
Winston-Salem’s Team CP3 is 10-3 and has 2028 five-star wing Mason Collins, who holds an offer from Syracuse. Hampton’s Boo Williams is 9-4 and includes 2028 five-star wing Isaiah Carter, another Orange offer.
The Bronx-based PSA Cardinals show up again in the 16U field, where Syracuse has multiple names to watch: 2028 three-star power forward Damian Mojica, 2028 five-star wing Kevin Wheatley Jr., 2028 four-star point guard Malik Moore, and 2028 guard/wing Kingsley Rogers. Mojica and Wheatley Jr. hold SU offers, while Moore and Rogers hold interest from Syracuse.

Syracuse Awaits A Massive Recruiting Decision On Familiar Name
Amari Elianos recruitment has become one of the more interesting storylines for Syracuse to watch this summer, and not just because he is a talented athlete out of Toledo Central Catholic with six offers on the table. He took an official visit to Syracuse, where the staff recruited him as a dual-threat athlete, and the Orange had a built-in connection in his father, Perry Eliano, who recently joined the program as defensive backs coach.
Now the timeline is set, with Amari planning to announce his college commitment on Aug. 9, his birthday. For Syracuse, the appeal is obvious: a familiar name, a family tie to the staff, and a player the coaches believe can fit into more than one role, even if the final decision is still waiting to be revealed. Kiyan Anthony Sees Early Signs Syracuse's New-Look Roster Can Deliver
The first summer practice under Gerry McNamara gave Syracuse a fresh look, and Kiyan Anthony came away encouraged by how quickly the new pieces have started to fit. Anthony talked through the early days of workouts after the coaching change, pointing to transfer Garwey Duals defense and praising a group of newcomers that also includes Gavin Doty, Frances Folefac, Tasman Goodrick, Aiden Tobiason, Luke Wilson, Abdramane Siby and Mark Morano Mahmutovic.
Anthonys comments offered a first glimpse at what this roster might become once the Orange get back on the floor after their two-week break. The early chemistry is one thing, but the real question is how much of that promise carries over when the pace picks up and the team starts testing itself beyond summer drills, especially with several players still trying to carve out their roles in McNamaras system. Syracuse Just Landed A Visit That Could Say A Lot About Its Future
A major recruiting test is coming to Syracuse basketball at the end of August, when five-star power forward Ahmed Nur is set to make an official visit from Aug. 28 to Aug. 30. The 2027 prospect is already viewed as one of the nations top players, and the Orange are trying to make an early impression on a recruit whose profile has only kept rising.
The timing matters because Syracuses new coaching staff has already jumped in with a scholarship offer, putting the program in the mix with a long list of heavyweight suitors. Nur also has an official visit lined up with Washington and has already been to Purdue and Minnesota, so this trip will be one more chance for Syracuse to show it can compete for elite talent in a crowded race.
