Syracuse basketball’s 2026-27 schedule is starting to take shape, and the latest addition brings another Blue Devils team to the JMA Wireless Dome.
On Tuesday afternoon, SU Athletics announced that the Orange will host Central Connecticut State on Thursday, Nov. 5. The tip-off time and television details have not been released.
Central Connecticut State, based in New Britain, Conn., plays in the Northeast Conference and goes by the Blue Devils. That means Syracuse is set to face two different Blue Devils programs next season, with Duke also coming to the Hill for an ACC game.

The Orange and Central Connecticut State have met just once before. Syracuse won that matchup at the Dome on Dec. 31, 2012, rolling to a 96-62 victory.
Central Connecticut State enters the new season after going 18-12 overall and 12-6 in NEC play. Patrick Sellers is the Blue Devils’ head coach, a position he has held since May 14, 2021.
Syracuse, meanwhile, finished last season 15-17 overall. The Orange will begin the first year under new head coach Gerry McNamara with a non-conference slate that is expected to include 14 games, along with 18 ACC contests.
The non-conference schedule announced so far includes:
• Central Connecticut State at the Dome on Thursday, Nov. 5
• Indiana at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis on Monday, Nov. 9
• Lafayette at the Dome on Saturday, Nov. 21
• Oklahoma at Oklahoma on Tuesday, Dec. 1, in the annual ACC/SEC Challenge
• Providence at TD Garden in Boston on Saturday, Dec.

• St.
John’s at Madison Square Garden in New York City (date TBD)
• Rutgers at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, N.Y. (date TBD)
• Albany at the Dome (date TBD)
Reports have also suggested Syracuse could host Central New York opponents Colgate and Cornell at the Dome. If that happens, 10 of the Orange’s 14 non-conference games would already be known, leaving four still to be announced.
