Caitlin Clark Makes Shocking Chiefs Admission

Sports superstar Caitlin Clark reveals her unwavering allegiance to the Kansas City Chiefs and their standout tight end, Travis Kelce, during a lively podcast chat.

Caitlin Clark didn’t leave much room for debate when Kylie Kelce put the question to her: Travis Kelce is her favorite Chiefs player of all time.

Clark made the comment during a bonus episode of Kylie Kelce’s Not Gonna Lie podcast, and when Kylie asked whether her brother-in-law topped Clark’s list, the Indiana Fever star went straight to the point.

“Come on. Of course he is.

I was a Tony Gonzalez fan when I was growing up, too. But no, Travis is definitely my favorite Chiefs player of all time, and Patrick is right behind him.

So, it’s been very fun to follow,” Clark said.

The answer fit right in with the way Clark has talked about the Chiefs for years. She grew up in Iowa rooting for Kansas City, and she’s turned into a familiar face at Arrowhead Stadium. Last month, she sat with Taylor Swift to watch Kelce, and the Kelce brothers returned the favor by showing support for her on New Heights.

Kylie also brought up Clark’s loyalty to Kansas City when the topic turned to the Colts jersey she refused to put on, even while playing in Indianapolis. Clark said she wasn’t thinking about how it would look in the moment, but she realized afterward that most of her teammates had worn it.

“Honestly, like in real time, I wasn’t like thinking like, ‘Oh, I’m not going to put this on cause I don’t want like the Chiefs fans mad or Travis mad or whatever.’ But after the fact, I didn’t realize all my teammates had it on.

So, that made me look worse. But, whatever.

I still have the jersey,” Clark said, on the podcast.

She also made her allegiance plain when talking about the Colts.

“No, I mean I wish them the best, the Colts, but I am diehard Chiefs. I’ve been diehard since I was a young kid and it is what it is,” Clark said.

Clark didn’t stop at fandom, either. She weighed in on Kansas City’s season and said the team has answered a difficult 2025 with a stronger run.

“It’s just like they just make it look so easy. Obviously, the Seahawks game the other week wasn’t great for us, but it’s all right.

The Seahawks are pretty good, but it’s been fun to kind of see them, like, have the bounceback year that they have had. Obviously, last year was tough with the injuries and everything, but I’m feeling good about it this year,” Clark said.

The Chiefs are 5-2 after Sunday’s loss to the Denver Broncos, and they can count on Clark being one of their loudest celebrity supporters the rest of the way.

Victor Scott II Suddenly Faces A Real Cardinals Roster Crossroads

Victor Scott II spent part of the offseason trying to reset in the Dominican Professional Baseball League, but the bat never really caught up. He managed only a .129/.289/.161 line in 12 games, and the struggles followed him back into a difficult MLB debut before he was sent down to Triple-A, where the offensive progress has remained limited.

Now the Cardinals have moved Nathan Church into the starting center field job, which only sharpens the pressure on Scotts path forward. For a player whose speed and defense still give him a chance to matter, the bigger question is whether there will be enough offensive growth to keep him in the clubs plans as 2027 gets closer. Alec Burleson Just Validated A Cardinals Gamble At First Base

Alec Burlesons move into the first base job for St. Louis looked like a calculated bet when the Cardinals shifted him there after trading Willson Contreras to Boston, and now it has the kind of validation teams love to see. Burleson is a finalist for the 2026 National League Silver Slugger award at first base, a recognition that reflects a season in which he led Major League Baseball in RBIs and set career highs across several offensive categories.

For the Cardinals, the appeal goes beyond the trophy race. Burlesons production held up whether he was hitting at home or on the road, and that kind of consistency is exactly what makes a lineup piece feel dependable rather than merely hot. With the finalists now in the mix, St. Louis has a clearer sense that the first base gamble did more than fill a vacancy - it may have uncovered a long-term answer. [Read more 🡒]

Cardinals Still Have One Lineup Question That Could Define 2027

The Cardinals head into 2027 with one of those roster questions that can shape an entire season before it even starts: who handles third base. The organization has several paths to choose from, with Nolan Gorman, Blaze Jordan, Thomas Saggese and Jesus Baez all in the mix, along with the possibility of looking outside the system if the fit is right.

Baez may be the best long-term answer, but his current minor league level makes him an unlikely Opening Day solution. Jordan, coming off a promising rookie season in 2026, looks like the most natural candidate to step in, while Gormans recent dip has made a return to third less appealing. However it plays out, this is one of the clearer decisions on paper that could still end up defining how the Cardinals build around the position next spring. [Read more 🡒]
