Travis Kelce Linked To Surprise Career Change

Travis Kelce's star-studded wedding guest list offers a glimpse into the potential TV paths he might pursue as he eyes a future post-NFL career.

Travis Kelce’s wedding to Taylor Swift did more than dominate the weekend conversation. It also set off a new round of speculation about what comes next for the Kansas City Chiefs tight end once his playing days are over.

According to Awful Announcing, the guest list at the Madison Square Garden ceremony on Friday may have quietly pointed to the networks Kelce could have in mind for a post-retirement TV career. The report noted a strong presence from Fox, Prime Video and ESPN, while CBS and NBC were not represented by any notable names.

That has fueled the idea that Kelce may already be thinking strategically about where he wants to land in broadcasting. Industry observers see him as a natural fit for television thanks to his football IQ, his personality, and the entertainment edge that comes with his relationship with Swift. The sense around him is that he could work in a space that blends analysis and personality-driven content.

The wedding drew a long list of recognizable media figures. Fox was represented by Tom Brady, Mike Gronkowski, Greg Olsen, Kevin Burkhardt, Michael Strahan, Julian Edelman and Dean Blandino, along with close friends of the couple Erin Andrews and Charissa Thompson.

Prime Video’s Thursday Night Football group was there too, with Ryan Fitzpatrick, Richard Sherman and Tony Gonzalez among the attendees. ESPN’s contingent included Rich Eisen, Pat McAfee, Stephen A. Smith and Joe Buck.

Kelce already has a media footprint through the weekly “New Heights” podcast with his brother Jason, who works at ESPN. That connection has only added to the belief that a full-time move into television could be next, and the expectation is that such a jump would come with an eight-figure deal.

For now, the discussion is still about possibilities. But the wedding guest list gave plenty of people in the industry a reason to think Kelce has already been laying the groundwork. Some around the league believe ESPN could be the likeliest landing spot, especially with Jason already there and “New Heights” potentially part of the package.

Blues Offseason Aggression Leaves One Huge Question Hanging

The Blues have spent the offseason acting like a team determined to change its own shape, not just tweak around the edges. Jordan Kyrou is gone, Jonathan Drouin was bought out, and the front office has kept moving pieces in and out while adding Connor McMichael, Mason McTavish, Brandon Carlo, Ross Johnston and Dillon Dube to a roster that looks very different from the one it started with.

It is an aggressive retool, and the ambition is obvious. St. Louis has already paid a steep price in draft capital and made some bold bets on present-tense improvement, but the bigger issue now is what all of it is meant to solve. With a full roster and plenty of cap space still sitting there, the Blues have made themselves harder to read, not easier, and the next move may tell the real story of where this is headed. Jim Montgomery Faces A Blues Roster Crunch That Could Define Next Season

Jim Montgomery enters his second season behind the Blues bench with a 72-51-19 record since taking over on Nov. 24, 2024, but the bigger story now is less about what happened last year and more about how crowded things have become. St. Louis is moving deeper into a youth-focused phase, and that means a growing list of players will be chasing a shrinking number of jobs as the roster takes shape for next season.

Training camp is going to matter, and the preseason may matter even more, because Montgomery has to sort through new additions and prospects while figuring out who is ready for NHL minutes. For a team trying to balance development with competitiveness, the next few weeks could go a long way toward defining the lineup the Blues carry into opening night and beyond. [Read more 🡒]
