Jordan Binnington Returns to Blues Net for Showdown Against Jack Hughes

Anticipation builds as Jordan Binnington faces Jack Hughes for the first time since their Olympic duel, with lineup adjustments poised to impact the Blues' strategy against the Devils.

Jordan Binnington is set to make his anticipated return to the St. Louis Blues' net this Saturday as they square off against Jack Hughes and the New Jersey Devils.

This matchup marks the first encounter between the two stars since their thrilling showdown at the Canada vs. USA gold medal game in Milan, where Hughes clinched victory with an overtime goal.

Since their Olympic return, Binnington's Blues have hit the ground running, notching a win in their first game back. On the flip side, Hughes and the Devils are looking to break a two-game skid post-break.

St. Louis will keep their forward lines intact following a commanding 5-1 victory over the Seattle Kraken. However, they’ll still be without Robert Thomas, who remains on leave from the team.

Defensively, the Blues are making adjustments. Colton Parayko is sidelined with back spasms and is doubtful for Sunday's game as well, per Head Coach Jim Montgomery. With Parayko day-to-day, Justin Faulk will step up to the top pairing alongside Philip Broberg, while Matthew Kessel slots in as the sixth defenseman.

As the Blues aim to maintain their momentum, all eyes will be on Binnington and Hughes, two Olympians who continue to captivate fans with their on-ice prowess.
