South Carolina’s next home date is locked in: the Gamecocks will host Texas A&M on Nov. 7 at 3 p.m. at Williams-Brice Stadium, with ESPN carrying the game, the conference announced Monday.
That matchup arrives after Shane Beamer’s team gets back on the road first. South Carolina will head to Norman to face Oklahoma this week before returning home for the Bonham Trophy meeting with the Aggies.
The series history leans heavily toward Texas A&M, which leads 10-2 all-time against South Carolina. Still, both of the Gamecocks’ wins in the matchup have come under Beamer, in 2022 and 2024. Last season, the Aggies outlasted South Carolina with a 31-30 win after putting up 28 second-half points.
For now, South Carolina is focused on the trip to Oklahoma. The Gamecocks are 4-3 overall and 2-3 in the SEC after knocking off then-No.
11 Tennessee 27-24 at home on Saturday. Oklahoma, also 4-3, sits at 2-2 in league play and is coming off a 23-15 win over Mississippi State.
Kickoff there is set for 4:15 p.m. on SEC Network.
Texas A&M, meanwhile, is 4-4 and 1-4 in the SEC after a 31-20 loss to Alabama on Saturday. The Aggies will be idle next week before visiting Columbia.

South Carolina Now Faces A Costly Williams-Brice Decision
The celebration after South Carolinas upset win over No. 11 Tennessee came with a hefty price tag at Williams-Brice Stadium. Roughly 30,000 fans rushed the field, and the surge left the Ligustrum hedges behind the north end zone badly damaged, turning a memorable night into a maintenance problem for the athletic department.
Head groundskeeper Tim Flanagan said the damage was extensive, and replacing the hedges could cost a substantial amount, with repair decisions still pending. It was the third field storm of Shane Beamers tenure, following similar scenes in 2022 and 2024, another reminder that the Gamecocks biggest emotional wins can leave a lasting mark beyond the scoreboard. South Carolinas Newest Commit Could Answer A Big Frontcourt Need
South Carolina added another piece to its recruiting class with the commitment of Johnson, a promising interior prospect who could eventually help address a need in the frontcourt. She joins point guards Jezelle Banks and Taylor Brown as the third player in the class, giving the Gamecocks another young building block as they look ahead to future roster construction.
Johnson brings a productive high school rsum from Biloxi High School, where she averaged 14.4 points, 7.6 rebounds and 1.8 blocks per game as a junior. She has already cleared 1,000 career points and rebounds, and while she may need time to adjust to the college game, her size and physical tools give South Carolina something to work with in the paint. Gamecocks Coaches Spotlight The Players Who Powered The Tennessee Upset
After South Carolinas 27-24 win over Tennessee, Shane Beamer used the postgame spotlight to make sure the people behind the upset got their due. The head coach named Mazeo Bennett Jr. and Nolan Hay as the offensive players of the game, with Noah Clark and Fred Johnson earning defensive honors and Malik Orsan recognized on special teams, a familiar reminder that the Gamecocks biggest wins often come from contributions that stretch well beyond the starting lineup.
Beamer also acknowledged several scout team players for their work in practice, another sign of how much South Carolina values the daily grind that feeds Saturday success. In a win that will be remembered for its finish and its significance, the coachs recognition offered a useful snapshot of the depth and buy-in that helped the Gamecocks pull it off. [Read more 🡒]
