South Carolina’s next SEC road trip now has a television home and a window, even if the exact kickoff is still waiting on next week’s results.
Shane Beamer’s Gamecocks will head to Florida on Oct. 10, with the game set for noon or 12:45 p.m. on SEC Network. The final kickoff time will be locked in after the Oct. 3 games are complete.
Before that trip, South Carolina returns to Williams-Brice Stadium to face Kentucky this weekend. That one is scheduled for 4:15 p.m. on SEC Network.
The Gamecocks enter the week at 2-2 overall and 0-2 in SEC play after last week’s 49-18 loss to Alabama. Florida, meanwhile, is surging under first-year head coach John Sumrall.
The Gators are 4-0 and ranked No. 8 in the latest AP Top 25 after knocking off then-No. 4 Ole Miss 52-28 at home last week.
Florida has controlled the series for a long stretch, holding a 31-10 edge all-time over South Carolina. The Gators have taken the last two meetings, in 2022 and 2023. South Carolina’s most recent win in the series came in 2021, and the Gamecocks have not won in Gainesville since 2014.
South Carolina’s schedule now has its next several dates lined up, starting with Kentucky on Oct. 3 and the Florida road game a week later. The Gamecocks then get a bye on Oct. 17 before moving into a stretch that includes Tennessee, Oklahoma, Texas A&M, Arkansas, Georgia and Clemson.
