Gamecock Stars Impress NFL Scouts at Pro Timing Day Event

Sixteen former Gamecock players showcased their talents at South Carolina's Pro Timing Day, drawing attention from NFL and CFL scouts with impressive performances.

The Gamecocks' Pro Timing Day was a spectacle of athleticism and potential, as 16 former South Carolina football players showcased their skills in front of a packed house of 57 NFL and CFL scouts and executives. Held at the state-of-the-art Long Family Football Operations Center and the Jerri and Steve Spurrier Indoor Practice Facility, this event was a crucial opportunity for these athletes to make their mark ahead of the 2026 NFL Draft.

Among the participants were notable names like Oscar Adaway III, Nick Barrett, and Jalon Kilgore, all of whom have been turning heads since their college days. Barrett, Cisse, Faison, and Kilgore had already made impressions at the NFL Combine in Indianapolis, and they continued to build on that momentum here.

The day kicked off bright and early in the weight room, where players were put through a series of measurements-height, weight, wingspan, and more. This was followed by a test of raw power and explosiveness with the Vertical Jump and the Bench Press, where Nick Barrett stood out, cranking out 31 reps at 225 pounds.

From there, the action moved to the indoor practice facility. Here, the athletes tackled the Broad Jump, 40-yard dash, Short Shuttle, and 3-Cone drills.

Bradley Dunn and Eriq Rice impressed with a vertical leap of 36 inches, while Rice also dominated the Broad Jump with a distance of 10 feet 6 inches. Brandon Cisse turned in a blazing 4.40 in the 40-yard dash, leaving quite the impression.

The day wrapped up with individual position drills, giving each player a chance to shine in their specific roles. With the NFL Draft looming in Pittsburgh from April 23-25, these performances could be pivotal in shaping the futures of these young athletes. The scouts left with plenty to ponder, and the Gamecocks left it all on the field, showcasing their readiness for the next level.
