Seahawks fans are feeling a bit anxious about the team's running back situation this season, but General Manager John Schneider seems unfazed. With Kenneth Walker, the Super Bowl MVP, now with the Chiefs and Zach Charbonnet's season start in question, the concern is understandable.
Schneider, however, is confident in his ability to find talent at running back. “That’s a position where you can find guys,” he shared on Seattle Sports. This suggests he's got a plan up his sleeve, perhaps eyeing potential additions that could bolster the lineup.
Currently, the Seahawks have some intriguing options on the roster. Cam Akers and George Holani are poised to compete for more snaps, and Emmanuel Wilson, a recent acquisition from the Packers, adds another layer of depth.
Schneider expressed his enthusiasm, saying, “Cam is outstanding, and everyone is really excited for him. George did a great job, and we’re thrilled about Emmanuel Wilson from Green Bay.”
While acknowledging the fans' concerns, Schneider provided some reassurance about Charbonnet's recovery from his January ACL tear. He also reminded everyone that Kenny McIntosh, who shined in 2024 but was sidelined last year due to injury, is still part of the squad.
“Charb is doing great,” Schneider noted. “Kenny had a great season before his unfortunate injury.
But I understand the concerns. We know where we’re at right now.”
In essence, while the situation might seem uncertain, Schneider's confidence and the depth already on the roster suggest the Seahawks are ready to tackle the challenges ahead.
